If you look at the top sheet music for piano purchased going back to the 1800’s in America, you find that the top songs were all religious songs. “Nearer my God to thee,” “Amazing Grace,” and so forth down to today with rap music with its profane lyrics and simple beats, it’s a reflection of the downgrading of the founding stock. That’s the whole point- reward morons to squeeze out litters, import in millions of third-worlders and the national IQ crumbles from average 100 to the 80’s. You can control and manipulate people in that range with ease, as they need to be taken care of.

As far as music is concerned, you end up with rappers sampling music from the Broadway play “ Annie”. I’m not joking:

I got into a mild argument with my dad yesterday about how we’re limiting the kids’ intelligence by homeschooling them instead of sending them to public schools.

My son is getting straight As in a top Engineering school, and my eldest daughter is reading Plutarch for fun and having animated discussions with me about she hates Julius Caesar now and is a fan of Cato and Cicero. I said name for me a public school kid who is doing that.

The whole danged culture has been dumbed down. And we have to fight it every way we can.

And this reminds me I need to really get my music writing back in gear this year.

If you think about it, computers were a very futuristic idea in ‘84 for most people, so artists had to actually have talent.....nowadays, music and voices can be manipulated to the point I could probably sound like Sinatra. 😏

Music is just one more thing the digital age has ruined IMO.

The music industry seems to have lost it’s soul.....in more ways than one.

Creativity I think, is just another function of IQ. As it drops, you just start beating on the drums and talking about how sexy you are. Go to the club and get some bitches. My goodness, I hate to think of what music will be like in 40 years. (shudder)

Nowadays when I hear the jungle music at a traffic light, half the time it’s a white kid in a pickup truck with his hat on backwards slouched down in the drivers seat.

Why do White kids these days gravitate to the black culture?......White guilt?

I just don’t get it.

It’s scarier than that, AI can make you look like him too! (online anyway)

yes a form of protection. White males in particular carry the gene for evil so they need to fly the colors. They also sterilize themselves and turn into minorities. Anything other than being White. Meanwhile, black people aren’t jumping off of bridges, cutting of their di@& or beating themselves up.

“AI can make you look like him too!”

Well, I’m not too worried about that as I already look like Brad Pitt. 😁

For me, music lost the sense of melody that the music of the earlier years had.

Your eldest daughter sounds like me. My homeschooling was completed more than 10 years ago and I’m still studying history. As for music today, it’s a wasteland, so I compose my own.
Most people my age can’t spell, write cursive, read a map, or make change; and if they attended public school they never studied history at all.
Public school is adult day care, and a welfare program. Parents who entrust their children to public school, care more about their income than they do about their children. It’s child neglect. They wouldn’t put their cars in someone else’s hands for six hours a day. They wouldn’t put their pets in someone else’s hands all day. But a child’s mind and spirit?

Luckily for me there are tons of good oldies stations for streaming and there’s also Spotify.

I occasionally joke that “I haven’t understood any lyrics since Bing Crosby died”. It’s not a joke, though, it’s true. The noise played on radio and TV is just that, noise. It not only sounds bad, it’s incomprehensible. It’s simply very loud NOISE. Even the random pinging of a wind chime sounds better. Those who actually claim to like the ‘music’ are indeed, low IQ.

I recorded the country music new years eve special on CBS a watched it later......I fast-forwarded through probably 70% of it.

The new country artists just don’t do it for me.

But having been brought up hearing Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Hank Sr. and others of that era.....maybe I’m just getting old. 😏

“beating themselves up.”

Don’t know if you are right there. If you are, how do you explain the huge amount of black on black crime? They do crime where they are because of a few reasons, none of them any good. But it’s all they know.

parents who dump their kids in public school love their lifestyle and their possessions more than their children.

Eep Opp Ork - Jet Screamer (actually this might be too good for where music may be headed...)

Eep! (Eep!)
Opp! (Opp!)
Ork! (Ork!)
Ah-ah! (Ah-ah!)

Get in this capsule, baby, we are blasting off!

Eep opp ork ah-ah
Eep opp ork ah-ah
Eep opp ork ah-ah
And that means I love you

Well now, I took my baby for a ride in space
(Eep opp ork ah-ah)
And met a little man with a funny funny face
(Eep opp ork ah-ah)
He taught us both to wail this way
(Eep opp ork ah-ah)
And nobody digs a word we say
(Eep opp ork ah-ah)

Eep opp ork ah-ah
Eep opp ork ah-ah
Eep opp ork ah-ah
And that means I love you

Yeah I read my baby loud and clear
(Eep opp ork ah-ah)
She just said I love you dear
(Eep opp ork ah-ah)
Now when I reply the way I do
(Eep opp ork ah-ah)
I just said I love you too

Eep opp ork ah-ah
Eep opp ork ah-ah
Eep opp ork ah-ah
And that means I love you

Come fly with me
Up high with me
Come on fly with me
And now eep opp ork means I dig you.

You heard the word
That crazy word
That word you heard
Eep opp ork means I love you.

Hop on baby, I’ll put you in orbit!
