Jack in the Box is expected to shutter several restaurants in the coming days, as it works to meet the closure target outlined in its “JACK on Track” strategy earlier this year.
Early this year, the fast-food chain said it would be shutting between 150 and 200 locations under a block closure program, including 80 to 120 by December 31. According to Fox Business, Jack in the Box has closed 72 stores since the April announcement.

“JACK on Track”
They closed two near me including my favorite one that was open 24 hours 😟😿😦🙁
So I’m back to McDonald’s and on rare occasion Taco Bell
72 stores?! Hitting the Jack-in-the-Crack at 2:00am with a few friends. I remember things.
Horrors!
a new one in orlando is set to open soon. Looking forward to it.
There’s a glaring omission in the Newsweak article: Was Jack forced to raise prices significantly in response to the minimum wage rising?
More and more people are going to experience the true minimum wage
$0.00 per hour
“Jack in the Crack” serves horrible excuses for food. They should all go out of business ASAP.
There is a KFC ‘desert’ for a 10 mile radius around my location. I’m still learning to accept that ‘devastating’ fact. I keep in mind, starving families in FEMA-overlooked areas don’t have any fast food at all!
It is $20.00 an hour for "fast food" workers in CA. "Panera" not considered "fast food" because the owner/CEO of Panera is a friend of Newscum and "donated"/bribed bigly.
“Jack-in-the-Crack”
Jack’s crotch...
There were a few around Northern Virginia in the 70s. And a Shackies pizza. After semi weekly Karate at Jhoon Rhee Tae Kwon Do we would sometimes hit the local Jack’s for a refill.
They just opened one not long ago near me and the food is great although the drive-thru is so slow you have to drive stakes to see it move.
Two Tacos ,Please.
LOL 🤣🤣🤣
I haven’t eaten fast food in years. With the exception of chick filet which I’ve been to maybe 3 times in 7 years.
The food sucks, most people aren’t up there with the Somali IQ and I’m talking those running and working fast food. Most customers aren’t at their level.
I look for a sit down resteraunt when I’m on the road traveling at my retirement pace....I’m in no rush.
There are five Jacks within 4.5 miles of my house. I’d be surprised if one or more doesnt take a hit.
And yes Kalifornias $20+ fast food minimum wage has hurt job numbers and significantly raised prices. Only Greaseball Newsome didn’t see that coming.
” ... horrible excuses for food ...”
It’s not really food, it’s entertainment. In most cases, no food would be better for you than fast food.
Seriesly though, I think eating or wanting fast food comes down to our brain craving fat, salt and sugar.
That said, I’m a real sucker for cheese fries and a hot dog.
> Was Jack forced to raise prices significantly in response to the minimum wage rising?<
It interferes with any national advertising campaign. It’s hard to launch a 2 Tacos For 2 Bucks national ad when it cannot be done at cost with $20 labor.

The “Panera” case was straight out of Animal Farm.
