A woman named Susan Brinkman wrote Learn To Discern Compendium: Is it Christian or New Age? and she has a weekly spot on the Catholic network EWTN on a “Wacky Wednesday” segment discussing ways in which Ouija boards, crystals, meditation chants, yoga and other things seem innocuous but open places of contact for the demonic to enter our plane of existence. Worst is ouija boards. Crystals are supposed to contact the universal energy which is an alternative to prayer and trust in God.
One of the few things my late mother in law was right about. She tried calming sessions by the local followers of the Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation after first asking several times asking for assurances they would not indulge in any idolatry or the occult. She was firmly against idolatry.
Sure enough, after a few sessions they were told to go into the next room where there was a big portrait with curtains on the sides and an altar set up with candles to chant praises to the Maharishi.
She was out of there.
There is a “Unity” church around the corner from me. They have all the mystical stones and amulets for sale.
Copeland and President Trump’s personal minister and head of his White House Faith Office are close and cooperative.
