A former Broadway child star was fatally stabbed at her home in New Jersey over the weekend, CBS News reported Friday, citing the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
Imani Smith, who was just 26-years-old, was found with multiple stab wounds in her Edison, New Jersey home on Sunday. She was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital and is survived by her parents and three-year-old son.

Amen.
Grok:
“ Her boyfriend, Jordan D. Jackson-Small, aged 35, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. Authorities from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the incident was not random and that Smith and Jackson-Small knew each other prior to the event. Family statements, including a GoFundMe organized by her aunt, explicitly identify him as her boyfriend and describe the killing as senseless.
The case is ongoing, with Jackson-Small held pending a pre-trial detention hearing. Smith is survived by her 3-year-old son (whom some reports indicate Jackson-Small fathered), her parents, and two younger siblings.
This information is consistent across multiple reputable sources, including official prosecutor statements and major outlets like The New York Times, Deadline, Variety, USA Today, and NBC News. No trial has occurred yet, so he remains the charged suspect.”

The KILLER is BLACK???? I AM SHOCKED!!! /s FERAL ANIMALS.
Stabbed right in the edison. Ouch!
OTOH, stabbing, especially multiple times like this one, is extremely personal. There's no way a killer doesn't recognize that he's stabbing someone. It's not accidental. And multiple stabs indicate a level of crazed hatred that boggles the mind.
> Family statements ... describe the killing as senseless.
Bullsh*t. It made perfect sense to the boyfriend when he was stabbing her.
The increasing prevalence of stabbings is very worrisome. It's not just that knives are easier to obtain than guns; it also says something about the nature of the hatred.
I read that there were signs of a struggle, and that she was stabbed in the fracas. I believe that's directly adjacent to the edison.
...the “event”...?
Cops know the more stab wounds, the more personal it was.
The more face stab wounds, the more personal it is.
One or two, attacker is hired or is a stranger.
You get 40 and a bunch to the face, its someone they know.
My guess is controlling boyfriend who is living off her, probably paying for his weed. If he thinks she is going to leave, he takes her out.
His first days in jail will be his first days in the weed-free real world.
