Just wondering if any other Freepers are spending this Christmas Eve solo. Just my trusty greyhound and me here, settled in for a relaxing evening with a latte, Ralphie Parker and George Bailey.

Family was here at Thanksgiving, so alone for Christmas. Pacer implanted on Sunday, and am grateful to take it easy through the holidays.

My heart is with you.
I’m alone tonight since my grown son who lives with me is sick in bed. My husband passed away about 3 years ago and tonight as I was listening to the songs we used to have so much fun listening to together I got kinda weepy. My two daughters are coming tomorrow so I’m busying myself with baking but things just aren’t the same without my husband.
Do you have children or grandchildren that you’ll get to talk to over the holidays?
I love that first song! I never heard that before.
Waiting to see his Dr in the new year...to get a baseline brain MRI....as there are some new medications that may alleviate his condition.
It’s been almost 3 years since my husband died and nothing feels right even now. As a recently widowed friend of mine was saying, it feels like I lost one of my arms. I know it will get easier over time but it will never be the same. My prayers are with you.
This year I am with my daughter, son-in-law,and three grandchildren.
It usually happens every other year.
In off years I am usually alone in the evening.
With all the tech, I keep in close contact with siblings and close friends.
My prayers for the health and well being of all on this thread!

We never had kids, so no children or grandchildren to visit.
Siblings all live out of town. I’ll have a meal with my mom at her nursing home, we’ll have each other for the afternoon.
Wife and I had 50 years together, first time alone is tough.
Have a good family get together! Sorry about your husband, did it ever get less painful?
Again. Last year my wife was in the middle of getting Cancer treatments (Stage III) in West Palm Beach/Wellington (so far, so good 👍). This year she flew home to Michigan to spend time with Parents.
Golfed ⛳ today and again tomorrow a.m... Do what you gotta do...
Same here. Listening to Christmas music and getting ready to turn in.
A little sore, but feeling fine otherwise, thank you. The surgery crew came in on Sunday to do me so I could be home for Christmas. Darn near cried at their thoughtfulness.
Me and the dogs. Nice and quiet and I don’t mind a bit.
Debating if I should open up the good stuff...
Where are you? here in my part of CA, it’s universal that Midnight Mass is celebrated at 11:00. Wimps! Still glorious and I’ll be there nonetheless
