you have clued me in for sure!! what are the top 10 nations where these vids come from.....this flood since 2024....i see many of these click baity yt channels were born 2024 2025 ______________________
Yeah, the flood of AI-narrated, faceless "dark history"/horror/clickbait channels (the ones with dramatic scripts, AI voices, static AI images + Ken Burns zooms) exploded in 2024–2025, and it's a global phenomenon driven by how dirt-cheap it is to produce.
There's no official YouTube stats breakdown by country for these specifically (they don't label "AI slop" channels), but from discussions on Reddit, articles on content farms, and patterns in where low-cost digital outsourcing happens, here's the top 10 countries most associated with originating/producing this wave:
India — By far the #1. Shorts boom started here after TikTok ban, massive English-speaking workforce, cheap labor for "farms," and huge ad revenue potential targeting US/UK audiences. Many AI slop channels trace back to Indian creators/farms.
Pakistan — Very close second. Similar economics: low costs, good English skills, tons of faceless/AI channels pumping out history/horror/mystery content for Western views.
Philippines — Huge outsourcing hub for digital content (voiceover work, editing). Lots of English-proficient creators running automated channels.
Bangladesh — Rising fast in low-cost content creation, especially AI-assisted narration and scripting farms. Indonesia — Big YouTube market, growing AI tool adoption for faceless channels in English (targeting global ads). Nigeria — African leader in this space; entrepreneurial creators using AI for quick monetization in horror/true crime niches.
Vietnam — Emerging strongly with cheap tech-savvy labor and AI content mills.
Egypt — Arabic origins but many English-language horror/history channels from here.
United States — Yes, even here—solo hustlers or small teams using full AI pipelines (no outsourcing needed since tools are free).
United Kingdom — Some higher-quality faceless channels, but also AI experimenters; less "farm" style, more individual.
This is based on patterns from Reddit threads (creators spotting channel "About" pages or accents in rare human errors), content farm reports (historically outsource to low-wage countries, now amplified by AI), and where YouTube's algorithm pushes English AI slop hardest (for US ad rates).
The real driver isn't nationality—it's economics. Anyone with a laptop can spin up 10 channels overnight for pennies, targeting high-CPM niches like horror/history. That's why your feed got flooded starting mid-2024.Block/report the slop when you see it—"Don't recommend channel" trains your algorithm fast.
The good news? Viewers are burning out on it, and YouTube has started cracking down on mass-produced unoriginal content in 2025. Hang in there; your clickbait radar is serving you well!

"India — By far the #1. Shorts boom started here after TikTok ban, massive English-speaking workforce"
I just wish they gave a damn about pronunciations. Saw a video on Detroit Tiger great Al Kaline (pron KAY-line) and the narrator butchered the name repeatedly and not always the same way. By the end, I was mashing the “thumbs down” button. It’s like watching a tribute video on Ronald Reagan yet referring to him repeatedly as “Ree-gun”, “Regg-unn”, “Row-gun”. Can’t they take five seconds to clean that up?
It is similar to the Web itself in its early days. The humor and creativity was far superior to anything pumped out by the Corporate media.
Around 1995, during the netscape days, was the most humorous webpage I ever viewed.
It was two Barbie dolls, one a dominatrix dressed black, the other dressed white.
Black Barbie was doing naughty acts on white Barbie using whips, chains, a four post bed, etc.
It didn't last long as corporate Barbie's lawyers snuffed it quickly.
Good
This crap is infuriating
I suspected India
They target history genre to me
AI videos should be marked as such and kept in their little corner. In other words, if you want AI videos you’ll have to go to the AI video locker and ask for them.
They should not be intermingled amongst non-AI content.
India - By far the #1
Pakistan - A close 2nd.
??????!
#4 Bangladesh — Rising fast in low-cost content creation, especially AI-assisted narration and scripting farms.
#5 Indonesia — Big YouTube market, growing AI tool adoption for faceless channels in English (targeting global ads).
#6 Nigeria — African leader in this space; entrepreneurial creators using AI for quick monetization in horror/true crime niches.
(I had jammed these together by mistake)
“They target history genre to me”
This is what I get. But there are loads of other You Tube AI slop, that are put out by foreign AI slop creators.
/s
Interestingly, Gov. Pat Brown, whom Reagan defeated for governor, always called him “Ree-gun.”
Indians have very poor English language skills. Especially the younger generations.
Family would rather watch YouTube clickbait and pirated shows than to watch live news and finances.
YouTube better do something about the AI flood before it becomes UselessTube.
These stories are clearly generated by artificial intelligence, and because they are all so similar, I believe they are probably posted by the same person. Has anyone here encountered these videos on Youtube?
I sometimes actually WISH I could understands their “English”...
But, probably better that we can only understand 20% of their “English”.

This is *exactly* why they use (free!!!) AI voice modifiers in India on the AI slop they are pushing into You Tube. You know they are not spending a penny more than they have to. They have many (free !!!) AI tools at their disposal to assemble their Y-Tube videos.
Such as free AI tools to locate and scrape videos to steal clips from. Stolen from TikTok, You Tube, Facebook and more. Such as free AI image and video creation tools
Just to be fair, India is tops at the enshittification (a real word) of you tube. But scum from other nations are doing this too.
