Most of us have moved on from the global warming hoax — but not the moonbats running New York, unfortunately for kids.
Via Fox Business:
Parents in western New York are raising alarms over cold rides and breakdowns after officials mandated that all school bus purchases must be electric by 2027.
Kids come home frozen in the Lake Shore Central School District. Already nearly half of its buses are electric. Running the heat drains their batteries.
Several parents told the outlet that they heard of at least one instance of the buses breaking down, in addition to the heating issues.
Kids can sit in these rolling ice lockers for a half hour and more, even when they don’t break down. Hopefully global warming will kick in soon and alleviate their misery.

I suppose the passengers have to wait for the battery fire to provide a little heat.
That's what they said in the hot weather when people used air conditioning. Drains the batteries.
And....the estimated miles of range go down if you use AC, I saw somewhere.
Maybe use a flashlight to see the interior indicators on the dashboard, stop every few yards and clear the rain and snow off to spare the windshield wiper motors and use one headlight to use less electricity. Rationing.
When you somehow make it to the EV charging row and see "Out of Order" on them, make a mental note to get a gas vehicle next time.
This cracks me up. A lot of The parents likely supported this nonsense. It’s worth it though! Hahahaha
Considering where it is, in effect (mostly) coal burning busses.
The students can burn the books to get heat. They don’t like reading them anyway.
It’s just not going to matter...
The Day After Tomorrow
Parents who truly Hate Their Children send them to Public School on Public School Busses.
How dare you!
Some of us have been warning these electric buses are disasters for years...
and apparently a bunch of kids are going to have to freeze to keep the lefties happy.
“They don’t like reading them anyway.“
That’s because the books are full of Democrat propaganda about global warming.
I’m looking forward to New York’s future when they go “all renewable energy”. We can watch them freeze to death in the dark. Oh wait, that is, we’ll watch if we can import all the power for the electronics and comms networks that’ll allow us the joy of watching them freeze to death in the dark.
😄😂🤣🤣🤣
Ice, Ice Baby!!
Ice been following HER!! 😜
Mourning Becomes Electra
Yeah, running the heat uses up charge, and cold weather reduces the miles/kWh throughput. But if it's a normal morning or afternoon route it would seem the bus would be charged to full (or to 80%) the night before and have no problem. Unless they purchased a battery capacity that's barely enough for an optimum day (i.e. mild weather) and not enough for a winter day.
Yo, heave ho!
Yo, heave ho!
Once more, once again, still once more!
Yo, heave ho!
Yo, heave ho!
Once more, once again, still once more!
“Several parents told the outlet that they heard of...”
So now publishing vague rumors as news stories.
And it’s very likely that parents who support EV school buses support them for other people’s kids and sent their own children to private schools.
Betcha...
