Yep. Gas is already ≈ $4.70/gallon in California - highest in the nation, highest gas tax in the nation - and is set to increase to $8-12/gallon:

From the California Globe: "The Top 50 Disasters Gavin Newsom has Ushered into California 2025 Edition" by Katie Grimes:

"$8.00-$12.00 per-gallon-gas coming, courtesy of Gavin Newsom, who has forced oil companies to shutdown refineries.

At one time California was home to over 40 operating refineries. However, due to high operating and regulatory compliance costs, a harsh political environment, conversions to bio and renewable fuels, and Governor Newsom’s 2020 directive banning the sale of new internal combustion vehicles in the state, the number of refiners has declined by 84% from 43 in 1982 to just seven survivors in 2026. California’s in-state oil production has declined by approximately 65%, while its dependency on foreign imports has risen by nearly 70%."

Chevron was, back in the day, called standard oil of California. Oh, the irony of a company named for the state leaving because it’s tax and regulatory burden is too much to stand.

At this point, I hope that Gavin Newscum gets the Democrat nomination in 28. There is nothing about his record that makes him qualified to even be the local dog catcher, let alone the president. JD Vance or Marco Rubio should destroy him.

Newsom’s answer to the coming gas shortage in Kalifornia; state sponsored free bicycles for everyone. All made in China of course.

Compare gas prices west of the Rockies with what the rest of us are paying.

When I filled up on Thursday morning, I went to the Buc-ee’s station in Richmond, KY. It cost me only $2.28 a gallon.

“Gas prices could rise to $15 a gallon and these idiots would still vote Democrat.”

Blaming the “greedy oil companies” always works.

This is exactly why you do not want Gavin Newsom as POTUS.

He will bring the destructive “Green” policies and War on Oil (which is causing California’s high gas prices) he has implemented in California nation wide.

He’ll appoint AOC as “energy czar” and soon everyone will be paying European prices for gas, as in $8-9.00/gallon.

WE Californians are the canary in the coal mine.
