Trump drops receipts on US savings since Biden's Oval Office exit
Fox News ^ | December 17 | Emma Colton

President Donald Trump rattled off how his economic policies have pulled America from "the brink of ruin" following former President Joe Biden's tenure during his primetime address to the nation on Wednesday.

"Here at home, we're bringing our economy back from the brink of ruin," Trump said Thursday. "The last administration and their allies in Congress looted our Treasury for trillions of dollars, driving up prices and everything at levels never seen before. I am bringing those high prices down and bringing them down very fast."

Trump said that under the Biden administration, car prices rose by at least 22%, gasoline rose 30% to 50%, hotel rates by 37% and airfares by 31%, and mortgage prices up $15,000 under "Democrat rule."

"Now, under our leadership, they are all coming down and coming down fast,'" Trump continued. "Democrat politicians also sent the cost of groceries soaring, but we are solving that too."

The president announced his primetime address Tuesday as his administration zeroes in on its economic messaging following Democrats latching onto a winning campaign strategy of "affordability" while slamming Trump and Republicans for allegedly rolling out policies that have caused the housing crisis to worsen and costs at the checkout lines to rise.

Following a handful of high-profile elections in November handing wins to Democrats who campaigned on the platform, Trump has turned up the heat that Biden administration policies continue to haunt the current economy.

"Eleven months ago, I inherited a mess. And I'm fixing it. When I took office, inflation was the worst in 48 years. And some would say in the history of our country, which caused prices to be higher than ever before, making life unaffordable for millions and millions of Americans. "

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Beyond the Vanity Fair debacle, this White House has problems. Last night, President Trump yet again talked about reducing drug prices by over 100%. (This tine he said 600%.) That's a mathematical impossibility.

If he had a competent staff, someone would have gently corrected him on that blooper instead of letting him repeat it.

Nice misquote. He said some drugs 600% which is absolutely possible. Why did you lie about what he said? Go back to your DNC hole and try to fool your usual crowd.

On Monday I sell you an apple for a dollar and on Friday I tell you I’m slashing my price by 600%. How much will I charge you?

Apples and oranges argument. Take your DNC talking points somewhere they work.

One reduces the rate of inflation.

Bringing down prices is deflation, which virtually never happens.

Well and good that inflation is reduced.

Clean up the language.

Yesterday I paid $2.49 for a gallon of gas, and butter was $2.49/lb.

I see prices going down on many things, but those two alone caught my eye.

Of course, I see prices for other things going up, so on those types of purchases, I have to weigh whether it’s a want or a need.

Miami,

I am going to sell your stupid arse an apple for $600.

Bray, you get an apple for a $1.

See Miami yet?

You’re getting raped.

Enjoy being raped when others aren’t ?

Some may actually start to Trump if they start getting the same apple for the same price others are getting.

That’s how one can drop something 600% with no problem at all.

In this case, Bray didn’t see a drop.

You did.

You were being gouged while Bray wasn’t for the exact same product.

Eggs are down to $1.99 a dozen. I am seeing price reductions/stabilizations in many food products. Real estate prices are stable to dropping....not much though...if mortgage interest rates drop another 1-1.5%. ..will be home price increase.....gas went down over 40 cents a gallon last 2 weeks....I have seen more businesses open up in my neighborhood..
Not full blown wildcat recovery, but there are solid signs...

Well, a 100% reduction would be to reduce the price to ZERO and so another 500% would be to pay us handsomely take the drugs. So, yes, it is possible but not probable.

Math is very hard for some people.

Lay off the cough medicine. It’s not even noon!

If, in your somewhat indecipherable post, you’re comparing $600 apples to $1 apples, then the buyer of the $1 apple is receiving a 99.833% saving over the chump who paid $600.

Not a 100% saving, nor a 300% or 600% one (all of which President Trump has used to measure savings.)

Percentages are introduced in the 4th or 5th grade. If you still are having a problem with this, please consult your grandchildren.

I had a feeling you wouldn’t get it.

But here we go.

When you stupidly pay $600 for an apple that costs others $1, when you eventually get that price of $1, it’s almost as if you get getting 100% change. Practically free.

And if those used to paying $1 all of a sudden is charged $600, the difference to what they used to pay vs what they are getting gouged for now, can be expressed in a percentage.

That’s how percentages can be expressed above 100%.

You know who feels the percentage changed the most from those who were charged $600 vs. the $1?

The people who used to pay $600, practically get it for free for a $1.
Nearly 100% off.

But the crooks charging the separate prices feel the sting. They no longer get the $600 from all the suckers now.

And now you can thank Trump for literally saving you hundreds and hundreds of $ every apple you pay for at $1, because if if ever gets back to $600, that’s more than 100% increase.

A price change of $1 to $2 could be considered an 100% increase.. 100% of what you used to pay vs what you pay now.

I know it’s not the easiest concept, but when people are being charged different prices for the exact same thing, the differences between those two price points can be expressed as a %.

If someone reduces what one person is charged to what others are being charged, that can be looked at as a percentage difference.

The apple sellers are crooks if they charge you $600 and someone else $1.

Your govt is trying to stop that from happening.

And in the process, cutting prices over 100s of percentage points, when comparing apples to apples.

I purchase farm fresh eggs from a young family. So I don’t pay close attention to egg prices at the grocery store. Sometimes I pay $4/ dozen, sometimes $6/dozen. They have really nice looking yolks and seem to last longer than the grocery store ones.

I don’t mind. I know the source, and I know what they feed their chickens.

The rest of my groceries are steadily coming down in price, and the stores are finally passing down the price breaks to the rest of us.

It’s a LOT BETTER than it was under Joe BURDEN.
