You may want to consider which state you’re in when you put together your Christmas playlist this season.
A study by FinanceBuzz used Google Trends to figure out which Christmas song is the trendiest in each state, with a variety of familiar tracks making it on the list. You might be surprised by the results.
“All I Want for Christmas Is You”
“Jingle Bells”
“Santa Baby”
“Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!”
“Run Rudolph Run”
“Blue Christmas”
“Feliz Navidad”
“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”
“A Holly Jolly Christmas”
“Last Christmas”
“White Christmas”
Agreed. That's why my kids grew up listening to Oh Holy Night, Reason for the Season, and Little Drummer Boy.
They usually asked to play it again and turn it up. Especially when we were in the old truck, which has a nice aftermarket stereo system. 😀
Feliz Navidad at least has the birth of Christ in the title.
in maryland it is Oh, I want crabs for Christmas...
Fair enough. I’d dread to imagine what their current generation would come up with.
The Lennon/Ono song is not a Christmas song. It just has Christmas in the words.
This is so stupid.
I don’t believe it for one second.
Sure, there are a lot of different Christmas songs, and people like a lot of them, but I do not believe it is diverse by state.
None of these are Christianly religious. I smell Leftist agenda...
Where is...
Silent Night, O Holy Night, Little Town of Bethlehem, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Halleluiah, etc?
I don’t believe this stupid list for a minute.
Everyone knows the best Christmas song is “You’re a mean one Mr. Grinch” by Thurl Ravenscroft.
++
I just can’t believe that “Christmas at Kmart” by Root Boy Slim isn’t a favorite in at least one state.

With it’s lyrics that get you into the Christmas spirit:
“Lingerie counter was grab and go,
Shoplifters’ bags on overflow”
“Must have died and gone to heaven
‘cause hell is Christmas at the 7-11”
True. No “Christ” in Christmas - merely commercial flop.
DC: “Christmas in Jail”
Ditto. But you might like this cover version of the Mariah Carey song:

What a pathetic list. I didn’t dive into it to figure out the metric being used, but it sounds like a list of the top throwaway tunes that might be played in a commercial establishment that knows it would face the fury of the wokies if it played anything good.
This one never get old.
I have never even heard of “Last Christmas,” “Santa, Tell Me” and “All I Want from Christmas is You.” Perhaps these mention the birth of Jesus, the reason for the holiday, but none of the others do.
