Here is a question you can ask the Google AI: "Can the Associated Press editorialize?"And here is the answer you will get:
"No, the Associated Press (AP) strives for factual, nonpartisan reporting and prohibits its journalists from editorializing or expressing personal opinions in their news coverage; their core mission is to provide objective news, but they face scrutiny and debate over potential biases, requiring consumers and member editors to remain vigilant for bias and clearly identify third-party contributions."
That's some remarkably unintelligent artificial intelligence.
Well, it sure seems like the AP violated its own alleged prohibition of editorializing with their Saturday story about the arrest of the J6 pipe bomber suspect by Alanna Durkin Richer and Eric Tucker, "Trump administration plays up pipe bomb suspect’s arrest. Jan. 6 violence goes unmentioned."

PING!
Google AI is full of Shiite.
Most of us note that for almost five years, there has been no arrest whatsoever to hold anyone to account of the J6 double pipe-bombing.
Using only what had been collected by the Biden FBI, the Trump FBI found there was sufficient evidence to get an indictment, even in the VA/DC area, to arrest this suspect. It would seem the Biden FBI was avoiding making the arrest, even when there was a $500,000 reward for a subject’s arrest and conviction. Is there an email somewhere that dealt with consideration of this suspect? Were those considering it dealing with the subject and the evidence entirely dispassionately and fairly?
Since there was no history of a prior arrest, it would seem Patel’s FBI is writing this chapter of history for the first time, not rewriting it.
Are the AP writers shielding some other version of “history?”
When will their patsy “commit suicide?”
When people ask AI for opinions like that, does anybody ever think to ask AI what source AI is using to make that decision?
I checked Google AI and the answer is the same. If this dreck is an example of AI work product, AI will get a beating.
AI has no business in the area of opinion.
Associated Preversions. You asked the wrong AI. I asked https://www.perplexity.ai/,
Can the Associated Press editorialize, such as not simply reporting news but commenting on it with clear liberal bias.
Yes. The Associated Press formally commits to neutral, fact‑based reporting, but in practice it does more than “just report” and has been widely and credibly criticized for liberal / progressive editorializing in its language choices, framing, and fact‑checks rather than clear separation of news and opinion.,,,
Opinion writers and monitoring groups note that AP hard‑news stories sometimes incorporate loaded adjectives, selective context, and “explainer” paragraphs that effectively argue a side—especially on Trump, border enforcement, police, and culture‑war topics—blurring the line between reporting and commentary.
Media‑bias rating sites such as AllSides classify AP News as “Lean Left,” citing consistent patterns in story selection, headline framing, and omission or minimization of facts that would favor conservative positions.
Right‑of‑center outlets (e.g., NY Post, AMAC) point to specific AP stories and Stylebook changes as evidence that its “neutral” guidance systematically advances progressive priorities rather than merely describing them.
In short, AP can and often does editorialize—especially through its Stylebook and “explainer” style—even while officially denying bias; whether that constitutes “clear liberal bias” is contested, but there is substantial documented criticism that it does.- https://www.perplexity.ai/search/what-causes-and-what-can-resol-1xHgDwIiRwKT7pxSNWeOtA#25
They had his license plate number. They knew exactly who he was.
Where is the line between “rewriting history” and “correcting numerous lies”?
