Portland jury clears black man of assault because white man he stabbed had said the n-word

A black man was acquitted of stabbing a white man in Oregon after he claimed the attack was self-defense because the victim called him a racial slur.

Gary Edwards, 43, was charged with second-degree assault for stabbing a man in Portland near a light rail stop on July 8, KPTV reported.

However, he was found not guilty of the crime on October 31 after the jury learned the victim was using racial slurs in the aftermath of the altercation.

For Freepers that are unfamiliar with the demographic population of Portland, Oregon.

This jury was probably at least 60% white and would lean female.

This isn’t a case of a majority black jury protecting their own.

The other day at Costco, a Puerto Rican guy pushed his buggy in front of mine in line, so when I pointed it out, he said I was a “White PoS “, and then he spit on the ground very close to me. He didn’t hit me with spit thank goodness .I work outside and so my arms are pretty dark, so I held my arm up to his arm, and I laughed at him and I said , “brother, you are whiter than I am.” The people in line laughed, and that actually made him madder.

I’m not sure this country is fixable. The solution, of course, is an honest Christian revival amongst all humankind to seek God’s forgiveness. There is such angst and division across the country right now being driven by vile demonic hatred. It seems to be everywhere so it’s hard to see how this ends on any goodwill note. It seems civil war, which is more likely everyday would only deepen and prolong the animosity toward each other. Unfortunately, we are moving inextricably toward anarchy and the Communist are doing their damndest to promote unrest and bring the country to its knees.

What was he supposed to say after the guy stabbed him? “My, what a fine fellow you are”? I wonder what words a black person would say after a white person stabbed them.

This reminds me of the case of Paula Deen. Before she was famous, she worked as a teller at a bank and a black guy came in and held a gun to her head. Later, while telling her husband about the incident, Paula used the N word. When word of this somehow got out, everybody was furious at Deen and of course she had to grovel and apologize. But nobody said a word about how bad it was that the black guy had held a GUN to her head!

Then there’s the OJ Simpson case, where people were angrier about Mark Fuhrman using that word decades prior, than they were about OJ killing two people.

Clearly, it’s worse for a white person to use that word than it is for a black to stab or or kill someone.
