A black man was acquitted of stabbing a white man in Oregon after he claimed the attack was self-defense because the victim called him a racial slur.
Gary Edwards, 43, was charged with second-degree assault for stabbing a man in Portland near a light rail stop on July 8, KPTV reported.
However, he was found not guilty of the crime on October 31 after the jury learned the victim was using racial slurs in the aftermath of the altercation.

“Sticks and stones may...aw, forget it. I’ll stab you!”
after the jury learned the victim was using racial slurs in the aftermath of the altercation
ummm....
aftermath!?!?!?!
so the victim called him a racial slur after he was stabbed and that somehow makes it ok he was stabbed?
So, if some negro calls me a honky, cracker etc. I am clear to open fire?
Im thinking if you are black and you stab some White guy for no reason— guess what.: you are the definition of an n-word. Congratulations.
oh, I’m sure the bullets will start flying sooner or later. The billions of stockpiled bullets in the U.S.
Racist comments are like a diode. It only flows one way.
do you want a race war? cause this is how you get a race war.
If your black then it is perfectly ok, God help you if your white.
I missed that section in the Bill of Rights. Our judicial system is a clown show.
“ I’m sure the bullets will start flying sooner or later.”
From reading all the stories, one doesn’t want to engage blacks at all. This won’t end well for them if things don’t change.
That horrible mob violence in Cincinnati resulted in a group of minority leaders at a press conference saying even if people were brutally beaten the victims may have “caused” the event by a racially hateful word——although witnesses denied that happened.
As though their privilege extends to a physical assault and possible killing of someone for a word spoken.

13% of the population, they never go to the gun range, they run with their pants half down. Plus, they have a horrible, horrible reputation with all of these news stories so yeah, I wouldn’t want to be them either when the day comes.
A Portland jury just declared black people incapable of controlling their emotions?
Case in point: would they clear a white man of stabbing a black man who called him a "honkey?"

RE: engage black people or not
Unfortunately, I grew up in the suburbs outside of Detroit and went to college inside Detroit during the 1967 riots, and I saw the new trend which is “looking at” or “staring at” a black person can be considered a provocation for an attack of some kind. Started, I think, in the mid 1970s.
Eyes down, stare at your shoes.
I bet that wouldn’t work if a black guy called me a cracker. I’d still go to prison.
“Edwards defense attorney Daniel Small reportedly told the jury that his client was approaching Howard to see if he would trade his knife for cigarettes.
‘What other than racism could explain why Mr. Howard perceived hatred, animosity and aggression from a complete stranger,’ Small said.”
And I’ll bet he said that all with a straight face.
Let’s just say you have the right to cuss out a gangbanger holding a gat but it still isn’t a good idea.
if you stabbed a black guy, flags around the country would do be at half-staff , and the media would make sure that the country was in a very long period of healing.Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer would march to Selma and maybe Hillary would tell us she ain’t no ways tired again. ( she looks pretty tired)
Portland jury. God did not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because they had bad mayors.
