And so far, they have rehabilitated ... 20 feet of pipeline?
“And so far, they have rehabilitated ... 20 feet of pipeline?”
The repairs are being run by the Porno-fornia legislature.
Some democrat connected patrons and donors …legal and not…got rich
Sounds like your typical government “mal-management” of affairs.
Democrats and government can’t fix anything they just want their slice for doing nothing.theSouthern Rim is beautiful I hope they keep the restaurant open.
They used to water into the park by rail. Time to do it again?
Another example of crumbling US infrastructure....
They could truck water in, at least in theory. National guard could sling-load water blivets in too. Great training. There are also these devices called “Water Towers” that hold water and work on gravity.
Volcanos are popping off all over the world.
The road to the South Rim is solidly volcanic ground
The Grand Canyon National Park isn't in California...but ok.
How did a fire destroying the Grand Canyon Lodge end up destroying 100 other buildings? That seems like incredibly incompetent fire management. Or were most park workers gone because the fed govt was closed during that disaster?
You boys have no idea.
AZ is running OUT, of water.
Nearly anywhere in this state, other than along the Rivers, you poke a hole in the ground to get water and over 80% of the time youll end up paying for a dry hole. It cost an average of over 100 thousand to drill for water.
This state....is running OUT OF WATER!
They will have to repair that line. To do it, the state needs to take over the management of that park and BTW. The fire was primarily akin to a prescribed burn.
AZ is running OUT, of water.
Much of Arizona water comes from the Colorado River, which comes from Colorado (duh), where if there’s not enough snowfall in the winter and drought in the summer, then there’s not enough water in the river for anyone in CO or downstream.
Or there’s too many people in Colorado using water.
Personally, i think that there’s too many people using a static amount of water.
Phoenix has received lots of rain over the last few months. That should ameliorate some of this.
Rest assured, as a National Park, the Government is in charge of fixing the waterline.
Where is DOGE when we need them?
“a $208 million rehabilitation project has been underway since 2023. And so far, they have rehabilitated ... 20 feet of pipeline?”
If they did get 20 feet of pipeline, that’s VERY IMPRESSIVE, given the DEI content required in these projects.
Some team of EPA watchers have to check every inch of land that every inch of pipe is being laid on or under, and nothing moves another inch until the EPA says O.K. - just my guess.
To EPA fanatics earth is supposed to always and forever be untouched by man and if man touches the earth - any inch - he must restore it to a pristine “natural” state. The whole idea ignores the resiliency of LIFE writ large and that includes this living planet.
