a $208 million rehabilitation project has been underway since 2023. And so far, they have rehabilitated ... 20 feet of pipeline?

The repairs are being run by the Porno-fornia legislature.

Another example of outrageously poor management, with we, the citizens who've paid taxes to the management team to keep this kind of thing from happening, paying the price. Replacement of the water line was a known and predictable cost, but never made it into the budget. I have little doubt that someone, somewhere in that organization pointed out that if not done, failure to replace the line properly would one day result in the need to close the hotels. Yet here we are. The loss of the beautiful and historic north rim hotel to fire was another example. The A-Team in charge of that fiasco decided that despite the fact that it was JULY, they'd let the fire burn for a while, as it was 'natural'. Then, when it got too big (surprise!) it consumed a national treasure. Oopsie!

If they did get 20 feet of pipeline, that’s VERY IMPRESSIVE, given the DEI content required in these projects.

Some team of EPA watchers have to check every inch of land that every inch of pipe is being laid on or under, and nothing moves another inch until the EPA says O.K. - just my guess.
To EPA fanatics earth is supposed to always and forever be untouched by man and if man touches the earth - any inch - he must restore it to a pristine “natural” state. The whole idea ignores the resiliency of LIFE writ large and that includes this living planet.

The mismanagement within the National Park Service is of epic proportions. The entire organization is infiltrated with careerist ant-development environmental activists who make any facility improvements nearly impossible to achieve in a timely manner. They require environmental impact studies of environmental impact studies. These agents will do anything in their power to delay modernization or expansion projects.
