A group of Minnesota state government employees said they wrote to former Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) multiple times "warning them" about Gov. Tim Walz and what they described as his "incompetence, fraud scandals and retaliation."
"We tried our best to keep the public informed as our tweets are public. Maybe Kamala Harris turned a blind eye to fraud like her running mate?," the Minnesota Department of Human Service Employees account — which says it represents more than 480 current staff members at the Minnesota Department of Human Services — posted on X.
"Over the years, our messages have not changed. We need fraud to stop in Minnesota and good governance to be restored," it added.
Neither the DNC nor Harris’ team immediately responded to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.
The former vice president chose Walz, a two-term Minnesota governor and former U.S. congressman, as her running mate in August 2024.
A post from the group on X in September 2024 replied directly to Harris’ account, explaining that Walz has "caused incredible harm to our state & agencies, [and] retaliated against whistleblowers against fraud."
Minnesota is currently at the center of a widening fraud scandal as federal prosecutors continue to unravel scandals, including one of the nation’s largest COVID-era fraud cases.
The Justice Department announced new charges last week against the 78th defendant in the Feeding Our Future fraud scheme, which prosecutors say involved more than $300 million in stolen funds from a federally-funded child nutrition program and has already resulted in over 50 convictions. Many of the individuals charged come from Minnesota’s Somali community.

US Treasury investigating tax fraud funding Somali terrorists
The U.S. Treasury Department is investigating allegations that tax dollars from Minnesota may have been diverted to the Al-Shabaab militant group in Somalia, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Monday.
Bessent announced the investigation on X days after U.S. President Donald Trump called Minnesota a “hub of fraudulent money laundering activity” under Democratic Governor Tim Walz, an apparent response to unverified media reports shared by several Republican lawmakers that Al-Shabaab had benefited from fraud committed in Minnesota. Walz’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.
Treasury Secretary launches probe into Minnesota tax dollars allegedly funding Al-Shabaab terrorists. Bessent on Monday launched a federal probe into claims that Minnesota tax dollars were siphoned to the terrorist group Al-Shabaab under the Biden administration and Governor Tim Walz – an allegation he said demands urgent scrutiny. “At my direction, @USTreasury is investigating allegations that under the feckless mismanagement of the Biden Administration and Governor Tim Walz, hardworking Minnesotans’ tax dollars may have been diverted to the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab,” Bessent posted on X. “Thanks to the leadership of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, we are acting fast to ensure Americans’ taxes are not funding acts of global terror.
“We will share our findings as our investigation continues,” he added. Walz’s office told Fox News Digital that Walz said last week that should a connection be found between Minnesota tax dollars and Al-Shabaab, he welcomed an investigation.
Last month, an investigation conducted by Ryan Thorpe and Christopher F. Rufo of the Manhattan Institute uncovered a web of fraud involving Minnesota’s Medicaid Housing Stabilization Services program, Feeding Our Future and other organizations in a bombshell report.Thorpe and Rufo noted that, in many cases, members of Minnesota’s Somali community were perpetrators of fraud. They added that federal counterterrorism sources confirmed that millions of dollars in stolen funds were sent back to Somalia, which is how Al-Shabaab got the cash.
The alleged funneling of taxpayer dollars happened under Tim Walz and the Biden administration’s leadership, Scott Bessent said. Thorpe and Rufo sought to answer a bigger question when looking into the schemes: “Where did the money go?” As it turned out, the Somali fraud rings sent money transfers from Minnesota to Somalia and, according to reports, approximately 40% of households in Somalia get remittances from abroad. Thorpe and Rufo state that in 2023, the Somali diaspora sent $1.7 billion to the country, which was higher than the Somali government’s budget that same year.
Thorpe and Rufo discovered that the funds were being funneled to Al-Shabaab, an al Qaeda-linked terror organization. Multiple law enforcement sources informed the duo that Minnesota’s Somali community sent millions of dollars through a network of money traders known as “hawalas” that wound up in the hands of the terror group.

Glenn Kerns, a retired Seattle Police Department detective who spent 14 years on a federal Joint Terrorism Task Force, told Thorpe and Rufo that the Somalis ran a complex money network and were routing cash on commercial flights from the Seattle airport to the hawala networks in Somalia. “We had sources going into the hawalas to send money. I went down to [Minnesota] and pulled all of their records and, well s-—, all these Somalis sending out money are on DHS benefits,” Kerns told Thorpe and Rufo. A confidential source told Thorpe and Rufo that “The largest funder of Al-Shabaab is the Minnesota taxpayer.”
“Every scrap of economic activity, in the Twin Cities, in America, throughout Western Europe, anywhere Somalis are concentrated, every cent that is sent back to Somalia benefits Al-Shabaab in some way,” a former official who worked on the Minneapolis Joint Terrorism Task Force told Thorpe and Rufo.
Fox News Digital’s Rachel Wolf contributed to this report.
A group of Minnesota state government employees repeatedly warned Kamala Harris and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) about Gov Tim Walz’s alleged “incompetence, fraud scandals and retaliation”.
The employees representing over 480 current staff members
at the Minnesota DHS, stated in posts on platform X that:
<><>They had written to Harris and the DNC multiple times to “keep the public informed”.
<><>Walz had “caused incredible harm to our state & agencies”.
<><>He was “100% responsible for massive fraud” related to various social service schemes,
<><>including one of the nation’s largest COVID-era fraud cases.
Instead of addressing the fraud, Walz’s administration allegedly “retaliated against whistleblowers using monitoring, threats, repression, and did his best to discredit fraud reports”.
The account’s posts included a direct reply to Harris’s account from September 2024, asking her to listen to the state employees.
Neither the DNC nor Harris’s team immediately responded to media requests for comment on the employees’ claims. State representatives in Minnesota have met with the whistleblowers, describing them as “heroes” for trying to expose the issues.
Minneapolis judge sparks fury by overturning taxpayer $7.2m
fraud conviction, as Somalis ‘scam Minnesota out of $1 BILLION’

A judge in Minneapolis has sparked rage after she decided to overturn a taxpayer fraud conviction that saw a husband and wife go down for robbing $7.2 million from people.
Abdifatah Yusuf, 44, was found guilty of robbing innocent taxpayers through a home healthcare care company called Promise Health in August.
A jury found that he and his wife, Lul Ahmed, ran a deceitful Medicaid fraud scheme out of a mailbox at the so-called medical company and used the money for ‘lavish’ shopping sprees, including trips to name brand and designer stores like Coach, Canada Goose, Nike, Michael Kors, and to purchase high end cars, according to prosecutors.
But in a shocking twist of events, and months after Yusuf was found responsible for directing the massive scam, Judge Sarah West decided last week that the jury was all wrong and he should be let off the hook.
She defended her choice by stating that the case ‘relied heavily on circumstantial evidence’ and that the state of Minnesota did not rule out other potential ‘reasonable inferences.’
Her decision to overturn the case, which is extremely rare especially in criminal cases, has ignited a fire storm not just for the general public but for the jurors who sealed his fate.
‘I am shocked. I’m shocked based off of all of the evidence that was presented to us and the obvious guilt that we saw based off of the said evidence,’ jury foreperson Ben Walfoort told KARE 11 News.
‘It was not a difficult decision whatsoever. The deliberation took probably four hours at most. Based off of the state’s evidence that was presented, it was beyond a reasonable doubt,’ he added.

Virginia Foxx Op-Ed:

Tim Walz’s Covid lunch fiasco got scammed for $250 million right under his nose
In Case You Missed It, Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) penned an op-ed for Fox News ripping Governor Walz for overseeing the “greatest grift in U.S. history”—a $250 million scheme that took funds from hungry children. In fact, following the release of a report indicating the Walz administration’s actions and inactions allowed the fraud to continue, Walz said, “We certainly take responsibility for that.”
Earlier this month, Chairwoman Foxx subpoenaed Governor Walz, Governor Walz’s Minnesota Department of Education, the Biden-Harris administration’s U.S. Dept of Agriculture (USDA), and USDA’s Office of Inspector General to uncover how the Governor and the USDA allowed the largest pandemic fraud in the nation to occur. The Democrat media and Harris-Walz campaign are working overtime to seize the narrative surrounding the freshly coronated ticket of Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz...You may have noticed the media heaping praise on Walz’s policies as governor, including the universal school lunch legislation he signed in 2023…
The truth is that Walz’s history of providing meals to hungry children isn’t about feeding them at all. Beginning in 2020, Walz allowed a fraud of massive proportions that exploited a taxpayer-funded child nutrition program during the pandemic. Some even called it the “greatest grift in U.S. history.” According to federal prosecutors, a Minnesota-based nonprofit called Feeding Our Future (FOF) committed the nation’s largest pandemic relief fraud. $250 million was stolen from under the nose of Governor Tim Walz and his army of state education bureaucrats. Five defendants have been convicted, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The fraud was conducted as a series of cascading kickbacks based on FOF’s fraudulent reporting to Walz’s administration. FOF’s food sites overrepresented the number of meals they served to hungry children by the thousands, set up shell companies to sell the story and then pocketed the millions in extra cash from reimbursements. While the scandalous details abound, the Minnesota Office of the Legislative Auditor released a report that breaks down the fraud allegations over 103 plainly written pages….The report shows that MDE suffers the same affliction as all the overwrought government agencies I oversee: diffuse decision-making that obscures accountability…
Take, for instance, page 55 of the report, which states that “MDE inappropriately asked Feeding Our Future to investigate complaints about itself.” … Or on page 48, the report finds that MDE welcomed loose oversight requirements for high-risk sponsors…MDE’s hesitancy to exert its authority and oversight responsibilities undermined its ability to sniff out the scandal, creating a powder keg of waste, fraud and abuse waiting to catch fire.
… Wasted tax dollars is never victimless. The $250 million stolen by FOF amounts to over $1600 per child living in poverty in Minnesota. Those funds should be with the children, families, and communities for whom they were meant, not lining the pockets of thieves who were enabled in their fraud by Walz’s MDE’s lack of oversight. I, along with fellow Committee Chairs, and the Minnesota Republican delegation, wrote to the Minnesota Commissioner of Education requesting more information regarding MDE’s communications. With Walz’s rapid ascension, it is even more important that MDE releases this information to the public.
Minnesota state government employees repeatedly warned then-Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) about Governor Tim Walz’s alleged “fraud scandals” and “incompetence” before he was named her running mate in August 2024.
These allegations stem from a group of over 480 current staff members at the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) who have been using an account on X (formerly Twitter) to publicize their concerns. Their claims include:
They informed Walz “early on” about ongoing fraud but were met with retaliation, including monitoring, threats, and repression, when they tried to blow the whistle.
The messages sent to Harris’s team and the DNC were intended to warn them about the situation, with one post asking, “Maybe Kamala Harris turned a blind eye to fraud like her running mate?”.
The fraud scandals in Minnesota have drawn national attention, particularly the “Feeding Our Future” case, which involved over $300 million in stolen funds from a federal child nutrition program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Federal prosecutors have charged 78 defendants in that scheme, resulting in over 50 convictions. Other audits have also found issues in different state programs under Walz’s administration.
Neither the Harris-Walz campaign nor the DNC has publicly confirmed receiving or acting on these specific warnings from the group of employees. Walz has faced criticism from Republicans and others for the lax oversight of these programs during his governorship, with critics arguing he is “100% responsible for massive fraud” in the state. Walz has denied intentional wrongdoing by state employees, stating they “simply didn’t do as much due diligence as they should have”.
By mere inspection, one can tell Walz lives on the far left tail of the Bell Curve.
I was gonna...🤣🤣
Hilarious!
How low can you go?
Give Kamala Harris credit for one thing: She was faced with the difficult task of finding someone dumber than herself to be her running mate - and she did.
Harris probably read the letter but maybe so high on pot she did not understand them.
