Cracker Barrel's embattled CEO has complained that she was 'fired by America' in a recent interview.
Julie Felss Masino, the restaurant's president and chief executive officer, was saved by investors last week after 75 percent of shares were cast in her favor.
The vote came after Masino's controversial efforts to give the brand a 'woke' revamp.

In an interview with The Blaze's Glenn Beck, Masino discussed her leadership role.
'This is probably very unfair to ask you. Were you surprised you weren't fired?' Beck asked.
'Um, I feel like I've been fired by America,' Masino said with a laugh.
'That's probably worse,' Beck responded.
Speaking alongside senior vice president of store operations Doug Hisel on The Glenn Beck Podcast, Masino said she never intended to redesign the entire restaurant.

'I think a lot of people think that Doug and me and other people sit around, are like, "Let's remodel Cracker Barrel." Nothing could be further from the truth,' Masino said.
'The notion for some of that truly came out of a lot of the work that we were doing on how do we improve food and experience. When we were talking to our guests, they said, "Stores could be a little bit more comfortable. They're real dark. I can't read the menu."'
Masino confessed that she and her team may have missed the mark with their efforts to rebrand.
'We're sorry that that's what people feel,' Masino said.
'That was not the intent. It was not the intent. It hurts me, because I don't want people to be...'

Well...she DID
Still has his Adam’s apple, dude.
You'd think that someone whose job it is to sell food and services to Americans would learn a lesson from that. But no-----
Anyone who pushes mental sickness should be fired!
First thing she has an understanding of, and it’s our fault!
I'd prefer 1950s style cat's eye lunettes.
Considering this story is now months old and she’s still trying to explain it is very telling to me.
Typical lib.....can’t cope with being told NO.
Now can she please drop the woke lefty prop glasses? Anytime you see those, avoid contact.
I do find Cracker Barrel restaurants a bit dark inside. I wouldn’t mind them being a bit brighter. But did they study why that is? Or why it works? They seem a bit like everyone’s kitchen or dining room that way, which may make folks feel more at home. Part of what keeps folks coming back.
Rebranding should be about reinforcing what works, ditching what doesn’t, and fixing things that are necessary but are not up to snuff. Get the basics right: food and service. Incremental changes. Not all at once.
Why would anyone with decades of brand recognition throw it all away? Uncle Ben’s Rice, Aunt Jemima’s Syrup, Land O’Lakes butter and a host of others blew it. I no longer buy those brands not because they’re bad products, but because they were stupid enough to go woke like a bunch of lemmings. Idiots...
Zackly.
Regarding her manglasses ... LOL!
I’d be looking at who hired her and why?
Lol!
If there was ever anybody who should wear contact lenses, it’s her. What a weird vibe those hideous glasses send.
A likely story. So why did you take Gramps outta the rocking chair?
Welcome to the party pal
Part of the “smart, nerd-girl” look.
