For two generations, Bob’s family didn’t just work for FedEx; they were a part of the Collierville community that the company built. His father, a Collierville native, retired as a respected FedEx pilot. Bob followed him into the company, securing a white-collar technical role and the promise of the same stable, prosperous life in the town Parade magazine once named “Best Main Street” in America.

At the heart of the issue is a fundamental miscalculation. The strategy frequently involves replacing small, highly skilled domestic teams with large, inexpensive offshore teams. An insider with firsthand experience claims this math never adds up. “Hiring 60 people who can’t do the job is vastly inferior to two people who can,” they stated. This approach leads not to savings but to massive cost overruns as unqualified hires, sometimes with fraudulent resumes, require constant management and produce subpar work. The projects they manage are plagued by delays, bugs, and production incidents, erasing any initial savings on wages as laid out in the original bid. As more of the team gets hollowed out, we see more production incidents, bugs, quality issues, et cetera. As the load increases, the people who can shoulder it burn out and churn, exacerbating the problem. Outsourcing and mass import of H-1B frauds put a company into a death spiral. Products and services never improve once this process starts. It isn’t cost cutting. It makes you leaner the way cancer makes you leaner, because that’s what it is. I’ve seen this firsthand and quit multiple lucrative gigs because of this.

I have heard horror stories about all major carriers. It seems to depend on your local service. In my area post office is good, ups is good for outgoing, not great for my deliveries, fedex is good outgoing and incoming, dhl is horrible.
It varies where you are. Generally when you send stuff you have to worry how your local place handles the package and how the destination delivety folks handle it. Either one can decide to play kickball with it.
Indians are CEO’d of largest tech companies in United. States. Google, Microsoft, etc are most profitable outfits in USA.
May because they work cheaper ?
Google CEO is Indian, Microsoft CEO is Indian. Both outfits are extremely profitable. Not every Indian is a genius. Neither is every American born person. There are 5 times more Indians than Americans. Statistically it means there are 5 times more dumb Indians than Americans.
my neighbor gets his prescriptions via Fed EX delivery. Three times they were delivered to me instead of him.
i will never use fedex for shipping again: the last time they charged over 30% more on my CC AFTER i used my online account and printed out the label ... this was a charge that i did not authorize ... i disputed the overcharge, and Fedex actually bothered to respond to the CC company, listing all the surcharges they added like that was OK, surcharges that were not mentioned nor included when i configured the original shipment ... doing some internet searching, it turns out that these fraudulent charges are absolutely standard operating procedure for FedEx for small shippers:

i don’t understand why a massive class action against FedEx hasn’t happened yet ...
I remember when FedEx could deliver important documents right on time. I thought of them as the gold standard for the industry. Now they deliver our cat food . . . occasionally even on the day promised (though never the time frame).
During interviews for my new position, I told HR “the company has hired ‘The Cub Scouts’ (TCS) when what we need is Marines”.
Stupid, arrogant, smelly, unprofessional and spiteful dirtbags smiling back at you knowing they have successfully displaced another American from their families source of income. Now my company wants me to manage teams of stupid, arrogant, smelly, unprofessional and spiteful dirtbags and I refuse.
Retirement looms large. Screw this.
