"4 months ago" - Massie has been there for *years* and could have introduced this with the Dem caucus *years* ago at any time. But didn't until the middle of *this* year after Trump takes office. Why was it not important until this moment?

Now he claims a "veto proof majority" is somehow relevant to his efforts when it was the President who called for everyone to vote for it - and also he announced he will sign it. So it neither is something he accomplished, nor does it matter if the President was going to sign the bill.

I thought all Massie wanted was the documents to be released.

Now he seems disappointed there was no evidence, photos and all, that Trump was front and center of the entire sick debacle, and wants something else.

What happened to just wanting the truth?

As a FR public service I will now write the entire text of every law that Thomas Massie has authored and then passed in his approximately 13 years in Congress. So, my fellow Freepers, grab a warm drink, cuddle up on the couch and read the brilliant writings of Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky:

Here's what I think is going on:

There is nothing in the files that will hurt Trump. However, there are other bits and pieces in there that will smear unfairly some other people, and that may compromise some intelligence or allied relationships.

Trump was doing the responsible thing by opposing their release. But now that a whole lot of idiots have made it a cause celebre, he's decide to say f*CK it, and release them despite the fact that the release will do more harm than good.

Sometimes, letting idiots have their way is the only solution to a problem.

The resolution passed 427 to 1.

https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2025289?Date=11%2F18%2F2025

Once the discharge petition got the requisite number of signatures, the outcome was certain. The vast, overwhelming majority of voters, including Republican voters, are for transparency.

Trump had to keep the discharge petition from getting to the requisite number and threatened Massie and other Republicans who signed it with primaries. Those primary opponents are now on the wrong side of this issue.

As for Newsweek, that magazine is not our friend. If you rely on Newsweek and other left-wing media, you’d think the Epstein files are only about Trump. No. The Epstein files are about all kinds of corruption. Former President Clinton. Ex-Prince Phillip. Ex-Senator Martinez of New Jersey. And many others.

Seems Trump is being attacked more by some in his own party than by democrats.

One thing that’s clear is that Massie wouldn’t have kept the democrats from taking the White House again in 2024. Trump has done far more for this nation than Massie ever will. Massie is a pos.

It took a lot to break the logjam but I’m glad Congressman Massie and MTG and others like Lauren Boebert and Nancy Mace made this possible.

Let the chips fall where they may but I expect relentless and determined resistance from high places to the full details coming out.

This afternoon MTG spoke of around 1000 girls being trafficked by the late Jeffrey Epstein that’s around one thousand....

He got tired of all the distracting BS. If Massie wants to think that’s a “win”, fine.
