The magistrate judge, William Fitzpatrick, ordered prosecutors Monday to quickly turn over records of secret grand jury proceedings to defense attorneys as they seek to dismiss the false-statement and obstruction-of-Congress charges pending against Comey in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia.
“The Court recognizes this is an extraordinary remedy,” Fitzpatrick wrote in a 24-page opinion, “but given the factually based challenges the defense has raised to the government’s conduct and the prospect that government misconduct may have tainted the grand jury proceedings, disclosure of grand jury materials under these unique circumstances is necessary.”

Well, is it or isn't it? Let's not start this possible nonsense and put it out there in the press. That is judicial malfeasance in my opinion to make the proclmation without definitive evidence that they are errors, not just possible errors.
FakeNews media. 🙄
Oh, it is quite real. You can click on the link to the judge’s opinion in the third paragraph.
The rumor is that Bondi wouldnt touch it. She got rebuked in public by Trump. I think this is about the time someone who has no business prosecuting this case got thrown into it. But I may be off on the chain of events
The fix is in.
It’s not a “proclamation.”
It is an opinion by which the magistrate compels the prosecution to provide records of its grand jury presentation thanks to its mistakes in misstating the law and in its overreaching in the application of a warrant.
Comey must have something on him.
Yeah, but it’s not like there’s a shortage of possible charges to bring against this guy. The problem will be trying to prove he was acting outside of his official capacity. Like any public official, you can waste millions of dollars as long as it’s legimate, but charge one hooker to a company credit card and you’re toast.
Am I wrong in remembering that Halligan had no prior experience as a high level prosecutor prior to Trump appointing her? I will gladly stand corrected.
I think I see a possible problem.
Her brief legal career was in real estate insurance law.
I don’t think that she had ever seen the inside of a courtroom prior to her appointment.
Did she get the jobs because of her looks? Honest query.
What else could it be?
(appointed by Governor Deval Patrick)
This “judge sides with democrats” stuff is getting as predictable as “youths arrested and charged” or Wikipedia Early Life entries.
“Judge Fitzpatrick was selected for an eight-year term by the United States district judges
of the Eastern District of Virginia on the recommendation of a volunteer merit selection panel
comprised of lawyers and other citizens from Northern Virginia.”
“Selected by other Virginia judges” = The Fix Is In
So, why use the word possible then? Possible is not a definitive descriptor. It’s akin to me proclaiming that you may be a homosexual, is it not? The documents should have been requested in confidence bdind closed doors in the judges chambers. Once reocrds are in his possession, and his examination has rendered a conclusion, should he reveal his decision.
“They’re fishing for who is cooperating with the prosecution?”
Yup.
There will be more of this to come, and the media will try to make it appear that prosecution is inept, and the effort is vindictive.
Expect more.
The key will be in the response. Let’s see what happens next.
I hate letting that thought into my head and onto the page, but I am left with “what else could it be” as well.
I just learned this fact listening to Julie Kelly on Bannon's war room pocast.
Sounds to me that he should have recused himself from this case.
You think Julie Kelly had it right?
I don’t.
But if she WAS correct, the prosecution should have asked for a recusal BEFORE the judge heard the matter. They can’t go backwards and ask for one now.
