Some people are born stupid.
And they die the same way..............
Tourons of Yellowstone.
Don’t pet the bison.
“Hopefully, they didn’t get him. Well, should I say that out loud? That I wouldn’t really care if they did?” one person said.
“He’s in mortal danger,” another said.
Oh, just great, one more thing I need to add to my bucket list.
Lots of ways to die in Yellowstone. Not knowing where, and hanging out close to the collection of toxic outgassing from the fumaroles and volcanic caldera structures is very possible. Falling into one of the superheated water ponds is another.
“Death in Yellowstone” by Whittlesey is a book worth perusing.
Good way to get those wolves killed.
30 years ago I was in Yellowstone camping with my family.
My son and I were hiking a trail by some mud pots in an area with lots of tourists.
We came around a bend to see a mud pot. There was a big bison bull there laying by the mud pot.
A boy about ten years old had a large stick and was beating the bull on his testicles. The bull looked calm but annoyed.
I immediately told the boy to stop. He looked at me puzzled and it was obvious he did not understand a word of English.
I tried to communicate alarm but the kid just looked at me with some disdain and resumed beating the bull’s testicles
I grabbed my son and we vamoosed back down the trail. No rangers in sight and I had no idea where the kid’s family was.
Hope the kid survived..
“He’s in mortal danger,” another said.
Probably the worst was “Never Cry Wolf” a fabrication by Farley Mowat, who famously said, to the effect: I never allow the truth to get in the way of a good story.
Mowat’s tale has been repeatedly debunked, but people want to believe it.
Democrats.
There ain’t no cure for stupid. Ron White.
Evolution had a hiccup.
Yeah, don't pet the bison.
And don’t get caught delivering bison pizza, made with bison mozzarella...
I don’t really mind idiots getting killed by stupid behavior with wild animals, it gives us something to point and laugh about.
I was visiting a friend who lived near Yellowstone. We went driving towards Cody in his van and about the point where we left the park, we encountered a lone bison walking along the side of the road. My friend was concerned, because any bison leaving the park could pose a threat to the cattle herds of nearby ranchers. Anyway, we got up next to the creature and I swear it was bigger than the van. Enormous. We respectfully passed him and went on our way.
I hope he posts the selfie and that mauling.
Don’t worry, the wolves are well fed, they kill cattle on all the nearby ranches and decimate the herd. But the ranchers are starving...
The guy seemed high on something the way he was prancing around. He did spray a blast of bear spray at one point, which is supposed to be pretty effective against wolves. He was pretty lucky to walk away.
