Irate Trump supporters have slammed Saturday Night Live for its brazen skit mocking the president's response to being named in the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Saturday night's cold open sketch sparked outrage among conservative critics for depicting Donald Trump inadvertently admitting to a damning relationship with the disgraced sex trafficker.
'You people are sick!' one X user reacted to the five-minute satirical segment. 'Hope [Trump] sues the hell out of them,' another chimed in.
'SNL makes fun of Trump. Water is wet. Predictable and boring,' one critic bluntly called out the show.
Set at a press conference, Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, sloppily responded to reporters' inquiries about him being mentioned multiple times in emails sent by Epstein that were released on Wednesday.
His first botched response came after a reporter, Kenan Thompson, asked why he was reluctant to release the Epstein files, despite many of his supporters calling for them to be shared. 'What does Trump have to hide?' he asked.
'I am hiding almost nothing, just enough to make it extremely suspicious,' Johnson's Trump responded before making what SNL painted as several Freudian slips in a back and forth with Kenan.
'But, let me ask you a question - if there was something incriminating about me in the files, then why would I cover them up?'

Kenan's baffled character quipped back: 'Isn't that exactly why you would cover them up?'
'Ok, let me go again. If I was innocent, wouldn't I just release all the files?'

Wow. One X user is MAGA now...
Trump is a big guy. It’s a standout feature.
He’s got a recognizable voice.
No Epstein female (or an attorney of one) is alleging wrongdoing by Trump.
Preaching to their ever diminishing choir. Like The Onion, it’s been a couple generations since they were funny and relevant.
‘But, let me ask you a question - if there was something incriminating about me in the files, then why would I cover them up?’
The real question is why would Biden and the Democrats cover them up, all while going after Trump with their bizarre distortions of the law instead of real crimes. But naturally the propagandist “comedians” will never ask that obviously exculpatory question.
The left always have a fixation on non-existing things it’s how their brain works.
He ran on a justice platform TWICE, and we have seen ZERO arrests. Zero perpwalks, ZERO mugshots. Compare and contrast Stone and Trump's to comey and bolton's.
59 of Trump's 96 months are gone. We the people are out of time. He keeps poking the bear but doesn't have the MORAL POTENCE to go in for the kill. When he retires to his golden golf course, we the people will suffer the enraged bear's wrath...without the WH, Senate and House.
"Because you'd be in jail"..."lock her up, lock her up...lock her up..."
ZERO ARRESTS, ZERO PERPWALKS, ZERO MUGSHOTS, ZERO IMPEACHED JUDGES.
READ MY LIPS..WE'VE BEEN LIED TO AGAIN!
"Let's find a few tweets from nobodies to quote and frame a story around them."
And yes, both sides do it.
That was around the time I stopped watching because it wasn't funny any more.
I don't claim to be MAGA incarnate, but I'm guessing very few of us have watched SNL at any time in the 21st century.

Between a rock and a hard spot. Some of the above he simply cannot do with the filiguster. The people would love him for doing these things but the majority is slim and congress members would hate it, as would most in the intel agencies. He could drain the swamp but never get a single bill passed. He also would be a pariah in big money circles. No fun playing golf by yourself. No more hobnobbing with the big money people but hey, he'd always be welcome to and MMA fight.
He's a deal maker who's trying to make deals with people who have already made a deal with the devil.
