A Venezuelan migrant working at a Chicago construction site has been detained on attempted murder charges after allegedly attacking a coworker with a running concrete saw, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors said 26-year-old Augustin Gomes Granadillo got into an argument with a 30-year-old coworker at a job site in the 1200 block of South Kedvale Avenue on June 23.
The altercation began as a verbal disagreement that escalated when Gomes allegedly picked up a shovel and swung it at the victim, a Chicago police report said. He then used a concrete block to hit him in the stomach before grabbing a Stihl masonry saw from the job site.
Gomes turned it on and swung it at the victim twice, striking him once in the right wrist and then in the chest, the report said. The victim suffered a deep laceration and fracture of the wrist and a deep laceration wound to the chest, according to prosecutors.

“Judge Rivanda Doss Beal ordered Gomes detained after a hearing, citing the severity of the alleged assault.
“He knew that he was wrong as he fled from the site as soon as he hurt the victim,” Beal wrote in her detention order. She added that his alleged actions “are such a departure from the basic expectations of a civil society, it is hard to predict his compliance with court orders.””
More judges should come to this realization. These people do not know how to act in a civil society and can’t be trusted. Send them ALL back.
Chicago dems will want to run him as the replacement for Raja, who is apparently giving up his US House office to run for US Senator (replacement for Dick The Turban Durbin, chief Abortion Catholic Democrat in Illinois).
I’m frankly stunned that he was actually detained.

In fairness, I know some young American construction workers who probably would come at you with a chainsaw if you got into a heated argument with them.

So apparently illegal aliens from Venezuela can work on construction sites in Chicago. The owner of the construction company should be arrested as well.
Don’t hire them and don’t rent to them.
Just more of America’s “strength” trying to kill the gringos.
The emergency room will need to be paid. So I reckon the Industrial Commission, Workman’s Comp carrier, and OSHA will all get sucked into the mix. Indeed, it is a bad day for the owner of that construction company.
We need to get the Navy to drop this Venezpig on one of their drug boats that Tiny Tim Kaine thinks are getting a bad rap and that they are only at sea “site-seeing” and rounding up plastic bottles so they won’t choke the sea gulls.
