Trump promises $2,000 check for every American thanks to tariff revenue he's collected
Daily Mail ^ | 11-9-25 | Eliot Force

He said that the dividend of at least $2,000 would be paid to everyone, bar 'high income people,' although he did not state what the threshold for that would be.

The president also generally lauded the state of the US, calling it 'the most respected country in the world.' He said there is 'almost no inflation, and a record stock market price.'

Trump cited 'trillions of dollars' of tariff income and said the money would soon go to paying the country's 'enormous debt' of $37trillion.

Why “bar high income people”? When did he become a fan of the welfare state? Even if they don’t NEED the money, I’m sick of being shoved aside to subsidize those who haven’t worked as hard, or made better choices in life.

If there’s such an excess of money, just pay down the national debt.

If $2K is given to those who are in need, they’ll still be in need. They’ll squander it just like they have their entire lives.

Give it to “high income people” and they’ll use it wisely; that’s WHY they’re high income people.

Free stuff? Is that what those in government told ya? You’ve been paying for Communist left’s kickbacks and payoffs all over the planet. They’re more than happy to take it from you...D.C. was exposed as a crime scene. And you think the taxpayers might get, “Free stuff” and hurt the economy? After they’ve been looted from every direction for decades? What a hoot!

Very illogical to include Bidenflation in current costs. During Trump years inflation has been low every year. Bidenflation has resulted in cumulative inflation to raise costs. All the more reason to disburse $2000 to each tax payer struggling to pay bills.

I am age 85 and lived through it all.

“”My wife and I paid over $355k in income tax alone last year””

Federal? Is that figure right? You’re talking about paying a tax that exceeds most working folks yearly gross income...

Yep... $355k off of a little more than $1.1m regular income. It’s a crime yet so few people are subjected to it, we have no voice. That’s not including sales tax and gas tax and property taxes and school taxes. And 50% of Americans are paying nothing.

I’m not, just saying that people might use the $$ to pick up some hardware they’ve been eying for a while.

Well, after reading my Social Security COLA will only be 2.8 %, I could use the $$ to pay down some of my bills.

Yep and of course Medicare is raising their prices, $21 and change, so much for a COLA, happens every....single...time. Seniors always get screwed.

I agree with you. All my life, i’m always told I made too much. When i was a young person working at Disney, making next to nothing they’d say I made too much! People I worked with were living in their cars. That’s why I always tell people, never check the box that says you are White. Check anything else. No one is going to Dna test you. never say you’re White, it gives you no benefits to do so. Zero.

“Give it to “high income people” and they’ll use it wisely”

If a high income person gets $2k it just goes into a checking or savings account and forgotten.

“Our debt of $$$39 trillion is mathematically impossible to pay off.”

Trump’s budget surpluses and interest rate cuts could reduce it to $30 trillion in ten years.

It can be done.

Can we see the Socrates calculations? Socrates has been so wrong on so many occasions we need to see them.
