Trump and the GOP is asleep on affordable Healthcare...

So can anyone point out the existing GOP Healthcare plans? I saw a report from Trump's intercircle saying Trump has no real interest in a fundamental Healthcare plan as it steps on too many toes of this wealthy friends. Trump dabbles around the edges but nothing concrete.

Yes, but we can’t pretend this issue doesn’t exist. Democrats use the fear of medical access loss the same way they used open borders. It’s an issue they use to help themselves NOT citizen.

It’s time to stop pretending that their ‘care’ isn’t one more scam used against poor and working class citizens. We need to put out a version based on a capitalist systems with incentives supporting how a careful family would make medical decisions. It’s would be cheaper, not cause dependency and stop the cheap use human misery to line the pocket of liberal ‘elites’....

Go to a Swiss style health care system. They have different health plans and prices, from basic catastrophic care to luxury care.

“Unless someone proposes a plan, Thune should agree to an one year extension of aca subsidies in order to end the government shutdown.”

No-No-No
and No.

The plan is Dems should Open the Goobermint first and then negotiate with the majority that won the election.

The system we have now is expensive, doesn’t work, is hated by doctors, citizens and the working class. It only helps white liberal elites and their corrupt ‘insurance’ companies.

For those that remember, the “healthcare crisis” was another manufactured Democrat based “crisis” that they, of course had the “solution” for - The Affordable Care Act. Those who paid attention predicted and knew that health insurance would be neither cheaper nor more available.

We didn’t save money and we didn’t get to keep our insurance OR our doctors.

And, just an FYI, just because you don’t have an alternative to a bad idea, you don’t have to support the bad idea, you keep looking for a better idea.

Elections have consequences . . .

Grow up and educate yourself on this subject. Some of us have been posting extensively about it for years.

There’s simply no way to “fix” a health care system that is built on the delusional, childish expectation that you can force other people to pay your medical bills. The GOP knows this, which is why it’s become just one more political “third rail” that can’t be touched but can’t be fixed, either.

Trump came up with the most brilliant plan:

1. End the ACA subsidies.

2. Anyone whose insurance plan was eligible for an ACA subsidy gets a check from the government for the amount of that subsidy.

This is brilliant because the Democrats will never let it happen. They are owned by major financial institutions, which means they want the money to go THERE instead of going to the people who need it.

Trump said - yesterday or today - what we are currently spending on ACA subsidies (which actually go to the insurance companies) instead get paid directly to people to help them pay for private health insurance they chose.

It’s a subsidy by a different method.

Do any government subsidies (or aid against a cost) actually lower the actual costs? Has the ACA subsidies ever lowered the actual private health insurance costs? No. Since the founding of the Department of Education and all the forms money it has showered on colleges and college students ever lowered the actual college tuition rates? No. College tuition rates have been the most inflated segment of the economy.

Subsidies and the like never lower an actual cost, By subsidizing something the current costs are sustained and going forward relieve any pressure to lower the cost, As a subsidy becomes institutionalized in the economy, the cost of the subsidized item will never improve and keep getting worse. The institutionalized subsidy removes the market incentives for every reducing the cost. No need; the government will keep stepping in and subsidizing your price increases,

Trump’s populist solution is a different and populist approach with a big government solution.

Illegals will still be clogging up Hospital Emergency Rooms and putting American citizens at risk so illegals can get their sniffles treated for $4,000 a pop while giving big fat tax write offs to the hospitals... but that said a good system will drive out the bad and we can do it with SANE medical system knocking out high cost, poor care crap like ObamaCare... Why leave this mess up to democrats who will only use it to line their own pockets?
