The yutes might not even know what a smoking section is these days. On the other hand they might say this post is fire.

That guy might want to think about switching to another brand of cologne, and losing this one...

"Battery acid sprayed across the area" One assumes that it was a lithium battery pack. If so, "Battery acid" did not spray across the area. modern Lithium (LiIon, LiPo, LiFe) batteries do not contain acid.
The electrolyte is usually an organic solvent. And there is not a whole lot of it in a battery so it is unlikely to spray very far or very much. (You wouldn't want to get it in your eyes, or leave it on your skin very long though.)

Battery acid ... review at Qantas regarding lithium battery restrictionsI think I see the problem, if someone put battery acid in a lithium battery.

People who keep these power packs in their pocket are just asking for self immolation sooner or later..................Many of these power banks are cheap, Chinese garbage you can buy on Amazon for peanuts. They shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near an aircraft. There’s plenty of places in airports and on most planes to charge your phones.
I’m a frequent flyer and the only planes that don’t have chargers these days are short, connecting flights.
