The exodus from New York City has already begun.
Within minutes of his mayoral win, dozens of parents in New York City began unenrolling their kids in NYC public schools, with plans to flee the city for other locations such as Connecticut.
This is only going to get worse. As Mamdani puts his agenda into action, people are going to realize that they need to leave the city, which is only going to further depress the city’s tax base.
The New York Post reports:
Parents began planning to take their kids out of NYC schools minutes after Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral win
Zohran Mamdani’s victory has New Yorkers running for the hills — or at least private schools outside of the city.
Since the results of Tuesday’s election came in, school placement consultant Christopher Rim told The Post he’s had no less than 23 clients reach out to him. They’re looking to relocate — and they want his help getting their kids into elite private high schools and middle schools in other states
“Within the first 30 minutes of AP announcing Mamdani’s victory, I got three messages from families looking to move,” said Rim, the founder and CEO of Command Education.
Others sought his assistance months ago.
“Over the summer, I started hearing families say, ‘I don’t know what we are going to do if this guy wins,’” he said.
Feeling that a Mamdani victory was inevitable, six of his clients moved to Connecticut — Greenwich, Darien and Riverside — ahead of the school year.
“They were like, ‘He’s going to win, and there’s no reason [to wait],’” Rim said.
This is just the beginning.
Some people in red areas do not want the people leaving New York.
Things are going to get very interesting in the coming months.

I won’t say the movie 🎥 🍿🍿🍿 title
But, it’s time...
Mandani better put up a NYC wall and like fast! Have a East NYC and a West NYC...like Berlin did? Communist genius raght thar!
“Escape from New York”
You see, it wasn't put up to keep people from fleeing the left wing hellscape they created, it was put up to keep fascism out!
Ultimately, Atlas will shrug...
What do we New Yorkers want?
Communism!
How do we want it?
Good n’ hard!
Dozens?
Advice to people who now feel the need to flee NYC or any other BLUE LIBERAL SH!THOLE.
Fine Flee. Wherever you go, just DON’T BRING YOUR STUPID POLITICAL IDEALS with you.
Unfortunately, I think Pliskin is dead.
Uh huh.
And Cher left America after Trump won.
I suspect, in a year, all these Cher-wannabees will remain in Gotham.
The same happened when DeBlasio was elected. Lotta talk, little action.
It’ll suck a little more under this loser. However, until global firms in the arenas of finance, advertising, media, real estate, and the arts pull out of Manhattan, New York won’t crater.
Connecticut? Whew, that was close!
Florida is full...
Dozens?😂
I hear Minnesota is nice this time of year 😎
Speaking of location, it's ironic that Fox News is headquartered in New York, and the only major player located outside of NY is CNN, based out of Atlanta. Of course, Atlanta is no bargain, but it would be better than NYC.
Too bad X does not have a TV network counterpart.

Then he can rename it - “New Jack City” - and Snake Plissken can help folks escape...
I’ve never even been to NYC, let alone live there, but I assume that people removing their kids from school there know what’s coming. I don’t blame them. Wish they could all locate to a better place. I wouldn’t live there now for any amount of money, but that wouldn’t matter as I likely wouldn’t have that money long anyway. Folks out in the midwest probably have a concept of NYC as something of a hellhole, but I’m sure there are nice parts in the city. For how long ,I’m not sure.
Just thinking ahead, I’m wondering if the nice parts won’t be changing before long.
Back in the sixties I was on a tour of East Berlin, asked the tour guide why they said the Wall was built. . “To protect against economic interference from the West” was the official answer he gave.
