Tens of thousands of Jeep vehicles are being recalled due to a potential fire risk.
Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, says the issue has to do with potential battery failure in certain plug-in hybrid models.
The company said an investigation found 19 reports of fires, with one injury.
The recall covers 2020 to 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xes as well as 2022 to 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xes.
In total, more than 375,000 of the SUVs are under the recall, with the bulk of them being in the U.S.
Stellantis is cautioning vehicle owners not to recharge their batteries regarding the recalled vehicles.
Also, the company is recommending owners park the recalled SUVs away from structures and other vehicles until a fix is made.
Owners with recalled vehicles will be contacted about scheduling a service.

Or, park it in a rough neighborhood and hope it “disappears”.
Doesn’t always work. Car thieves aren’t stupid...........
Really glad we have resisted the occasional urge to sell our 2004 TJ Unlimited.
21 years old and stone reliable. Love the old straight 6.
Jeep and electrical quality never really went in the same sentence.
They are putting FIAT engines in now................
Makes sense, FIAT doesn’t either............

Wait, car stealers are smarter than EV/hybrid drivers??!
It’s a Jeep thing.
Battery replacement? That could get pricey.
Yet, they continue to sell thousands of these vehicles to silly people.
It amazes me.
I have not bought anything made by either Toyota, Honda or Lexus since the late 1980s.
The test lab at Jeep must have closed.
In 1972...................
It's an EV thing.
Sounds like it go cheap get a bad jeep.
