Even persons familiar with RFK Jr.’s damning statistics about American health might be surprised by the information contained in Del Bigtree’s new documentary An Inconvenient Study — a film that also depicts with gut-wrenching impact the human misery represented by those numbers thanks to the cowardice, greed, arrogance, and power of the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
The film’s Emmy Award–winning producer has been a medical journalist for two decades, first at CBS and later as host of the High Wire internet show. Bigtree’s prior documentary, Vaxxed (2015), brought him to national attention when the film, which had been touted by Robert De Niro, was pulled from the actor’s own Tribeca Film Festival for being anti-vaccine and containing junk science. This linked news segment about the incident provides an example of how major media serve as a megaphone for powerful corporate interests — a role effectively noted in An Inconvenient Study.
The aforementioned RFK Jr. statistics can be summarized using this single data point: 54 percent of American kids now have a chronic disease of some sort, whereas in the 1980s, that number was 12.8 percent. Coincident with that precipitous rise has been a dramatic increase in the number of vaccines administered to kids from birth to age 18 — from around 20 in the 1980s to 72 or more now. The question raised by this correlation is obvious: Is there a causal link between vaccinations and chronic disease, and especially between vaccinations and the huge increase in autism?
The specific study that Bigtree’s film revolves around was done by the Henry Ford Health System and was directed by Ford’s head of infectious diseases, Dr. Marcus Zervos. It was designed as retrospective and compared health outcomes of vaccinated with unvaccinated patients in Ford’s system.

Here’s all the light you need. The claims about this study have been debunked multiple times yet the anti-vaxxers keep posting.

Fact-Check: Debunking the Top Myths Around Viral “Vaccine Study”
October 13, 2025
Henry Ford Health logo
DETROIT—Henry Ford Health condemns the spread of dangerous disinformation connected to a “documentary” that falsely claims our nationally recognized academic medical center and research institute suppressed a draft of a research study because of its results.
The purposeful twisting of information in the “documentary” poses a direct public threat. We implore anyone who comes across these myths to read the facts below.
MYTH #1: “The study proves vaccinated children are 2.5x more likely to develop chronic health conditions than unvaccinated children.”
FACT: This draft did not prove anything. The very first internal review revealed serious flaws in the data and methodology, and the paper was abandoned. Anyone who conducts public health research would agree that comparing vastly different sample sizes over different time periods with inconsistent demographic foundations is problematic.
MYTH #2: “The study wasn’t published due to political reasons – or because of its results.”
FACT: The draft wasn’t submitted for publication or shared with the public because the data and analyses were flawed, and it’s irresponsible to share scientifically flawed studies with the public.
MYTH #3: “The study was hidden from the public.”
FACT: Reputable academic medical research institutions like Henry Ford Health subject research papers to stringent, internal, and scientific scrutiny that often points out issues with data, methodology or other flaws. It’s rare that a paper makes it to the scientific journal submission phase, and even rarer that papers get published. This wasn’t hidden; it was simply rejected for scientific lapses.
MYTH #4: “This is the ‘most important vaccine study ever.’”
FACT: Dr. Jake Scott, an infectious disease physician from Stanford who testified on Capitol Hill, wrote “…this flawed analysis reveals how thoroughly political theater has replaced scientific literacy in our public discourse.” The first internal reviewers determined the paper wasn’t scientifically sound—and it never made it past draft status.
MYTH #5: “The ‘documentary’ proves the health system is withholding the study.”
FACT: The film proved nothing except that we have rigorous scientific standards in place for a reason: to ensure the only studies we submit for publication come from research rooted in sound, infallible data that have passed our stringent review processes. We do not bend to pressure from those with special interests and will never compromise the standards that have helped make us a world-renowned academic medical research institution. Thanks for posting. HOORAY RFK Jr. and Del Bigtree! The perfect crime against innocent, unsuspecting human beings. Plausible deniability.
You can have all of my COVID boosters. Free.
Maybe the reason we have an annual “flu season” is because we keep vaccinating against it.
“The aforementioned RFK Jr. statistics can be summarized using this single data point: 54 percent of American kids now have a chronic disease of some sort, whereas in the 1980s, that number was 12.8 percent.”
I don’t deny the link between vaccines and autism, but most of this increase is simply due to our now-Frankenfood Supply.
Covid and my shoulder showed me everything I need to know about the awesome American health care system.
Other than expensive, pompous, arrogant, convinced of its superiority, it SUCKS.
Laying in bed in a hospital during Covid, with a bowel obstruction and in excruciating pain which eventually self resolved (I’ve had these before so I know), I had a doctor not diagnose what it was, not treat the pain, BUT he wore a huge mask with screw on filters and a nurse was impressed with this, asking him where he got such a mask and if she too could get one.
I have a bum shoulder today. A doctor who advertises he’s God’s gift to orthopedics and claiming to be an expert for everything hacked through a muscle and didn’t reattach it. He doesn’t need too according to the “standard of care” here in America where we have the world’s best health care. This likely saved him 20 minutes in the surgery. Now the shoulder looks deformed and doesn’t work right, BUT I can get a spoon to my mouth so the surgery is a success.
Other than name dropping (prestigious names), lots of advertising, acting really arrogant, and charging extraordinary prices, I have little respect for this system. It’s a low quality socialized health care systems (the standard of care is defined by the NIH, FDA and DEA more or less) but with a private store front where doctors, hospitals big pharma, insurance and medical device manufacturers try to gouge every dollar out of the consumer.
It’s just over priced, massively over hyped, but low quality social health care.

I will argue that the problem is the sole result of changing the definition of “chronic disease”
“I will argue that the problem is the sole result of changing the definition of “chronic disease””
They certainly do that in the ‘soft sciences’ of the medical world, particularly “mental health”, blood pressure, and LDL, but if you’re counting up obese and diabetic children, it’s hard to write that off as ‘re-definitions’.
Then we'll see how many of those seventy two "vaccines" in the childhood schedule remain.
T.B. Yoits wrote: “Since vaccines are so “safe and effective”, let’s remove the manufacturers’ liability exemption immediately. Then we’ll see how many of those seventy two “vaccines” in the childhood schedule remain.”
Yes, let’s do that and see how many children die unnecessarily from illnesss easily prevented by vaccines.
They wouldn't die because they would continue taking all the safe and effective vaccines.
Oh, that's right - they're not safe and effective. Some aren't vaccines at all.
I was a fat kid and made fun of. If I were a kid today, I’d be called “Slim” and made fun of....
T.B. Yoits wrote: “They wouldn’t die because they would continue taking all the safe and effective vaccines. Oh, that’s right - they’re not safe and effective. Some aren’t vaccines at all.”
You must have something against saving the lives of children.
Name the childhood vaccines you consider to be safe and effective. Meanwhile, childhood vaccines have saved millions.
AI Overview
Vaccines have saved an estimated 154 million lives globally since 1974, the vast majority of whom were children under five years old. Globally, routine childhood vaccination prevents between 3.5 and 5 million deaths every year.
Key statistics on the impact of vaccines:
Total lives saved (since 1974): An estimated 154 million lives have been saved, equivalent to about six lives every minute.
Children under five: 95% (about 146 million) of those whose lives were saved were children younger than 5 years old, with 101 million being infants younger than 1 year.
Annual impact: Childhood vaccination prevents approximately 4 million deaths worldwide each year.
Impact on infant mortality: Immunization has accounted for 40% of the observed decline in global infant mortality rates over the past 50 years.
Most impactful vaccine: The measles vaccine has had the single most significant impact on reducing infant mortality, accounting for nearly 94 million of the total lives saved.
Disease eradication efforts: Vaccines led to the global eradication of smallpox in 1980 and have brought polio to the brink of eradication, with cases down by 99% since 1988.
These figures highlight routine immunization as one of the most successful and cost-effective public health interventions in history, significantly improving child survival rates worldwide.
Do you have children/grandchildren? 72 vaxes by age 18 and you don’t think that COULD BE A PROBLEM???
Strange... the estimations are accepted as irrefutable but the actuals that oppose the narrative are discarded with vehemence.
RFK, Jr. reigned in Big Pharma, and the Rats hate him for doing it because they take so much money from them.
Interesting that you use statistics from 1974 going forward, when it's been recent revelations that have left our kids with nearly 50% of all kids showing signs of autism; particularly CoVID. Speaking of kids, none of the embryos of CoVID genetic treatment in the Pfizer study survived. Now they want all inoculations to use and spread the tech, despite the death toll. These are no longer vaccinations, they are genetic treatments.
