This thread is intended to track the Food Riots that were predicted due to the government shutdown and the cessation of food-stamp/SNAP money. Any articles about mass shoplifting, looting, or rioting are welcome here.

What has been happening?
Hellcat or XDs .45 in warmer weather. Springfield SA-35 or Glock 19 recently.
CZ 97B for the foreseeable future, in a Craft cross draw or Galco vertical shoulder holster, because it doesn’t make my butt look big. 🙄
postscript. I had to do some work to a Galco meant for a Sig P220 to make the CZ fit. Finding holsters for CZs is an adventure.

* I’ve tried all manner of carry from shoulder to ankle.
* Pretty much settled on OWB strong side hip with a back-up in the off-hand front pocket.
* I don’t do a shoulder holster while driving because of injuries. I can, but the seat belt gets in the way. Reaching over is hard, awkward, and painful.
* When I wear IWB/SOB or OWB hip in a vehicle, I place the pistol in the console and holster it when I get out of the vehicle. Very handy.
Fry’s (Kroger) and Safeway were business as usual today.

Riots broke out in mass unrest over EBT Food Stamps being cut off.
Reports were they said “eat the rich” and they had no other options for food. Two people injured inside the store. They attacked someone with a now hiring sign.

But an ankle holster with a smaller piece would be good for driving.
Laz I’ve been monitoring as well. I think the abortive judicial rulings forcing funding may have taken the edge off things - for a while. The administration will slow walk refilling cards by forcing these judges to explain how they are to break the law to fulfill these judgements.
