SNAP beneficiaries have expressed outrage on social media over the government shutdown that could affect their grocery benefits starting next month, and some are even threatening to ransack stores if food stamp payments don’t go through starting Nov. 1.
"It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to take care of my kids," one emotional mother said in a video posted online. "It is the taxpayer's job to pay for my kids to eat and for my kids to be taken care of."
The same woman also complained about how none of her TikTok followers had sent her money, warning she would block anyone who viewed her videos without sending cash.
"Because of the government shutdown, now I can’t get my SNAPs for next month," another user shared on social media.
The user went on to ask how she was supposed to feed her seven children.
"I have seven different baby daddies and none of ‘em no good for me," she said.
Fox News contributor Brett Cooper discussed the woman’s comments on her YouTube channel, calling the video "insane" before commenting, "That is [her] responsibility… It is not [the] American taxpayers fault that you have seven baby daddies who will not step up and help you pay the grocery bills."
Amir Odom, another conservative commentator, shared his thoughts on the controversy.
"We've got the people that genuinely rely and need this program that are actually using it for a hand up and to stay afloat. Then you, on the other side, you got people treating it like a side hustle, selling the stamps, [and] abusing the system," he shared.
"This whole shutdown has really started to expose both of those sides."

These women have multiple babies in order to get more welfare. Years ago, I think it was Wisconsin that made a rule -— more than three babies, and you get no extra benefits, no matter how many kids you have.

Maybe but sadly there are a lot,of people who think like that woman does, that society owes them money.
So their first reflex is to steal from someone else. This is the rat base voter.
Yes calling their income coming from the “taxpayer” doesn’t sound like language they use unless it’s a skit to rile people up. In real life it’s always the “government” that owes them.

It's easy. Just have a Whipple procedure for ampullary cancer, spend 5 months in the hospital unable to eat normally, then discover your remaining pancreas has atrophied on the last CT scan. Honestly, I did it with just controlled diet initially dropping from 191 lbs to 144 lbs and 13.7% body fat. The current situation with my gut surgically rearranged makes it hard to hold my weight. I would be thrilled to be normal again.

My county is one of the ones that least-uses SNAP in the state. We also have a sheriff and a DA who believe in arresting, prosecuting and imprisoning criminals. And it is widely known in adjoining counties.
I do not think we will have a problem.

I am disgusted these people are citizens, well probably most of them. But their lack of self control, self rrspect, gross entitlement, and eagerness to commit crimes is sickening.
Please don’t forget the nails, weaves and tattoos as well as streaming TV and internet- all off sweat of OUR work thanks to the “extra” money they have since we pay for their food. I don’t have a pot to piss in due to loss of job and traumatic accident- but they get to live with extras I can’t afford because we buy their food. AND THEY THINK THAT ITS RIGHT!! Can’t loathe them enough
