Vance recently made a telling remark.
That his soon to be wife, he met at university was his “Spirit Guide”.
That’s not a comment a Christian (or for that matter a Catholic) would make.

Not everyone is perfected in the faith.
I trust you and I are not either.
Like all of us, JD is on a faith journey, guided by the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, our Comforter.
I for one will not judge him. Too many boards in my eyes.
I’m not finding where he allegedly said that.
Do you have a source for your allegation? Like, literally a source where he literally calls his wife a literal “spirit guide”?
You know what? Even if he said it, and I’m not finding evidence that he did, there’s nothing wrong with it. We humans are spirits, clothed in bodies. I would think a good wife would provide guidance to their husband. So, a good helpmeet could be a “spirit guide.”
Maybe at the church you go to, but where I go, “spirit guide” is as acceptable as “soul mate”. Geesh.
What was the context? I heard it and he was talking about a time when he was agnostic and thinking about re-engaging (my word) his faith. Prior to him becoming a catholic. Context, context, context.
