The Left's campaign against truth, goodness, and beauty continues with the latest depraved outrage against art: a sculpture called "Unmanned Drone."
The twist? This ugly monstrosity was made from the dismembered pieces of the historic Stonewall Jackson statue that was famously taken down in Charlottesville, NC.

This bizarre, hateful attempt at art was created by "artist" Kara Walker, who makes terrible art to fight racism.
Some of her other works include "Sugar Sphinx," a bizarre sphinx combined with an obscene "mammy" stereotype made out of sugar.

The new mutant sculpture is a part of an art exhibit called "MONUMENTS," which features torn apart and vandalized confederate statues.

The exhibition reflects on the histories and legacies of post-Civil War America as they continue to resonate today, bringing together a selection of decommissioned monuments, many of which are Confederate, with contemporary artworks borrowed and newly created for the occasion. Removed from their original outdoor public context, the monuments in the exhibition will be shown in their varying states of transformation, from unmarred to heavily vandalized.

Some quick internet research on this statue - it was registered on the “National Register of Historic Places” in the 1990s. While that did not give it Federal legal protection, it would make it eligible for Federal grants for upkeep, etc...
The city removed the statue in 2021.
My question - how the hell did it wind up in the hands of a woke artist whose intent it was to deface it?

It is hard, from the perspectives of personal integrity, leadership, dedication, and military prowess, it is hard not to like Stonewall Jackson. I have read several books on him and I admire him greatly.
He was on the wrong side of history by today’s standards, but that said, this bizarre Leftist need to eradicate the past is infuriating.
This is disgusting.
I doubt if the sculptor knows this but hopefully the veil of deception will be lifted some day soon.

Someone once said that most modern public art looks like a helicopter crash they forgot to clean up.
The article cites the statue as coming from Charlottesville NC (sic). The Commonwealth of Virginia was the site of this desecration. And don’t wonder “Why!?” as some of the posters do. If you knew the liberal hellhole that C’ville has become, there would be no surprise whatsoever. I say this (sadly) as an alumnus of Jefferson’s “Academical Village.” Pray without ceasing.

Well after the Emancipation Proclamation the United States continued to cling to slavery.
That does not mean we should tear down the Washington Monument.
