I would like to time-travel to 2026 and return with a copy of the Wall Street Journal.

Uh, sorry, I’m nothing going to take a collection of math equations as “proof” that paradox-free time-travel is possible. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Someone is going to have to actually achieve time travel to prove that’s is possible.

Time travel is possible, but you can only travel forward. You can leap long distances ahead but you have to return to after the point you left.

There once was a young lady named Wright
Whose speed was much greater than light
She went out one day
In a relative way
And returned on the previous night.

So, if I were to travel back to the 1970s, and frame Anthony Fauci for murder, he would never have totally botched the AIDS epidemic, and would have been no where near the Plandemic.
Would some other apparatchik have taken his place? Perhaps. And perhaps that other apparatchik would not have been such an accomplished liar.

Or, there really is a multiverse and one is simply hopping from one reality to another. (Which would suggest that the “Big Bang” was actually a “Bigger Bang”.)

Philosophical, but still a great way to evoke a sense of 'time-travel' is a favorite quote that I like to ponder:
“Live as if you were living already for the second time and as if you had acted the first time as wrongly as you are about to act now!" It seems to me that there is nothing which would stimulate a man's sense of responsibleness more than this maxim, which invites him to imagine first that the present is past and, second, that the past may yet be changed and amended.” ― Viktor Frankl (Man's Search for Meaning)
To: Red Badger
Time travel is deterministic and locally free... Let's get Karine Jean-Piere to explain that to us in lay person's terms. Or maybe Kamala.
I finally understood the Cloud when Kamala pointed upward and said everything on the internet is up in the sky overhead in the clouds.

I’ll believe this when time travel actually happens. Until then I will regard this “science” as the same stuff that gives us glowbull warming, safe covid vaccines and T-Rex’s with feathers.

By what mechanism would one travel back in time! H. G. Wells’ Time Machine? Starship Enterprise using the Sun’s gravity to slingshot into the past? Christopher Reeve willing himself back in time in the movie
Somewhere in Time? I am more likely to believe in aliens among us than this. But, that’s just me. Like it’s stated in the article, someone needs to do it and come back with irrefutable proof that they did it. I’ll admit that I’m skeptical.
A Time Tunnel, perhaps?
Popular Mechanics has sure changed since I read it over 50 years ago.
