The controversial President-elect of the Oxford Union has been dramatically sacked following outrage over his remarks over the death of right-wing US influencer Charlie Kirk.
A resounding vote of no confidence by the membership of the prestigious debating society in George Abaraonye resulted in a more than 2:1 majority, with 1,228 votes in favour and only 501 against, well beyond the two-thirds majority needed to force his resignation.
The 70 per cent no confidence majority means he will be deemed to have resigned, effectively having been sacked after calling the vote himself to try and shore up his support.

Once upon a time the Oxford Union was a bastion of Liberal Arts learning and application for truth, justice and intellectual discourse amongst divergent groups or opinions.
Freedom of expression or thought no longer exists there just radical Left-wing demagoguery and pro-Terror platforms. It is as if the UN and the International Court of Justice combined forces there and forced out true and original thought. What is left is an empty shell of self-righteousness and denial of truth.
In short, it has been overrun by Islam.

DEI bomb-thrower refuses to leave, too, despite the overwhelming vote against him ... so has precipitated total chaos in the ancient debating union ... donors have already frozen donations and the union has no money ... it’d also be fun if pretty much everyone else but george supporters simply resigned, and then they have a george union debating society instead of the oxford union debating society ... nonetheless, a tempest in a teapot, though a very fun one! ... almost as much fun as the royal family peccadilloes in a teapot ...
