Sakiyna Thompson, 31, is facing a first-degree murder charge in the July 2022 killing of 23-year-old Kayla Hodgson. A woman accused of killing her romantic rival in 2022 took the stand for a second day in her own defense on Monday, telling jurors that she blacked out when she stabbed the victim.

Broward Sheriff's Office officials said Thompson flew to South Florida from New York days before the murder with the intent of killing Hodgson. Prosecutors said Thompson was jealous that Hodgson was dating Thompson's ex-boyfriend.
Hodgson was later found stabbed to death in her Tamarac Village Apartments home.
Kayla Hodgson Courtesy Courtesy Kayla Hodgson On Monday, Thompson told jurors she went to Hodgson’s apartment uninvited to talk "woman-to-woman" about dating the same man. She then claimed Hodgson attacked her and punched her in the face.
Thompson also said she was two months pregnant at the time. She claimed Hodgson cut her stomach with a piece of glass. Afterward, Thompson grabbed the glass and then blacked out. She then allegedly awoke to Hodgson dead on the floor.

Whether she blacked out or not is irrelevant to the crime. This claim of a blackout seems to be a popular tactic among defense attorneys to suggest the perp was not responsible for her actions at the time. It may play well among ignorant jurors, but makes no difference in reality.
Basing desirable population on ethnicity is not reality, unless you live in a gated WASP enclave with residency restrictions against equality...

My husband told me most of the guys he worked with were calling what happened a stone cold killing by the dead man’s wife, but the women were saying the prank was justified by the cheating-it just went terribly bad-karma and all that-it probably dampened the desire to cheat for the men working there, too...
