Stopping a driver for talking on their cellphone resulted in the seizure of nearly 220 pounds of weed in Berkeley on Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver was headed west on Interstate 80 at about 5:30 p.m. when officers stopped the Chrysler SUV. During the traffic stop, officers allegedly smelled a strong marijuana odor coming from the SUV.
‘Epstein bomb’ about to drop, 100 GOP members to ‘jail break’ from Trump, Swalwell says “Multiple large black trash bags were observed in plain view in the rear cargo area,” CHP said. “A probable cause search was conducted, leading to the discovery and seizure of approximately 218 pounds of cannabis.”
According to CHP, the driver was illegally transporting cannabis for sale without a license. The driver was arrested for related charges.
“While personal cannabis use and possession are legal in California, strict regulations apply to its commercial cultivation, transportation, and distribution,” CHP said. “Individuals engaged in these activities must possess proper licensing and documentation in compliance with the law.”
The bags of weed were taken to the CHP Oakland Area office and stored as evidence.

Super Troopers movie had the kid quickly eat a bag of marijuana and a bag of psilocybin mushrooms so when the cops got to the pulled over car there would be no evidence left.
Then the buddies charged the kid for the cost of the dope because he consumed all of it.
