Singer and songwriter Taylor Swift released the new album “The Life of a Showgirl” on Friday, which included a song expressing a desire to “settle down” and have children. The new album prompted a wave of pushback from left-leaning women online, including one clip where a woman claimed Swift went on her “boyfriend’s football podcast” to “announce” it and proceeding to lace into the singer for tying herself to Travis Kelce and the National Football League. We sure have come a very long way from bands like Cream doing songs like “Born Under a Bad Sign” . . .
It’s hard to believe that libs can feed themselves without help. Those of us with measurable IQs should be provided trigger alerts when these dolts are near by. I wish I were kidding.
There’s a lot I find admirable about Swift’s career…but her music still doesn’t click with mr.
That being said: she’s always been WAY WAY less “progressive” in both her persona and song-writing than say, like a Madonna or someone…and Swift’s largely hyper-feminine (yes feminine, not feminist) fanbase reflects that.
Her biggest hit to this day is literally called “Love Story” and dreaming about marrying a prince.

My daughters are Swifties (36 and 31), but after they listened to the most recent release, they said they won’t let their kids listen to it because at least 3 of the songs are too explicit. They were both disappointed in her change of direction.
This ratlike spoiled child does not deserve the time of day.
I just went over some of the lyrics. She has a twisted brain. I have no idea what people see in her. Everything about her is mediocre and her lyrics are garbage. But that’s just my HO..
The left wants to destroy the family unit, especially feminists. Just look at the content on feminist cable channels like Oxygen and WE. These programs indoctrinate women into man hatred.
Indeed. I heard from adult fans that the “clean” versions of lyrics that were part of her weekend theater release were objectively better writing-wise and that the explicit stuff seems forced and unnatural. But I think Swift is trying to catch up with the edginess trend of her peers .
Swift is going to be the next JK Rowlings. A feminist that the left adored for decades, but because she chooses to do one thing the left doesn’t like, so they completely turn on her.
Does the album include a song about how pissed she is at Blake Lively for sucking her into Blake’s lawfare against Justin Baldoni?
So they are disappointed that she wants to settle down and have kids. What do they think their purpose in life is? What does God want them to do? Does everyone have to choose their life choice?
Opposite. The theory is that Swift’s song “Cancelled” implies she identifies with the likes of Blake:
