Like it or not — like him or not — Trump truly is a “once in a century” personality. He has that elusive “it factor” that can’t be faked, imitated or bought. You either have it, or you don’t. Trump has it in spades, and he’s come into the last three elections with tens of millions of guaranteed votes in his back pocket.

I will be running on my MASDGIHTETAI program ...
MAKE AMERICA SO DAMN GREAT IT HURTS TO EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.
I will eliminate everything. Except you. If you can prove you voted for me. Take pictures.
JD was very never-Trump. I do not trust that he has the will or the ability to put down America’s communist revolution. This is a list of some of JD’s direct Insults and character Assessments of Trump from less than ten years ago:
“I’m a Never Trump guy. I never liked him.”
Public interview, 2016. Vance self-identified as a “Never Trump” conservative. (Politico , BBC )
“My God, what an idiot.”
Referring to Trump voters or Trump himself in a 2016 interview; also used to describe Trump directly. (Politico , Republican Accountability PAC post [post:62])
“Trump is a total fraud.”
2016 public comment on Trump’s authenticity and lack of care for working people. (CNN , Intellectualist video montage [post:68])
“Trump doesn’t care about folks.”

“I can’t stomach Trump.”
2016 interview expressing personal revulsion. (Intellectualist [post:68], Republicans Against Trump flashback [post:66])

“Trump is morally reprehensible.”
Resurfaced 2014–2017 emails released by a former friend, criticizing Trump’s human decency. (Guardian )
“I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical asshole like Nixon who wouldn’t be that bad (and might even prove useful) or that he’s America’s Hitler. How’s that for discouraging?”
October 2016 private Facebook message to Yale classmate Josh McLaurin. (Reuters , Politico , CNN , Susie Bradford [post:67])
“Trump might be America’s Hitler.”
Derived from the above private message; also referenced in public critiques. (Politico , CNN , JB Pritzker [post:74])

“Trump is cultural heroin. He makes some feel better for a bit. But it is a band-aid, not a medicine.”
July 2016 Atlantic essay “Opioid of the Masses,” comparing Trump’s appeal to a dangerous opioid high rather than real solutions. (Axios , New York Times , Guardian )
“Trump’s promises are the needle in America’s collective vein.”

These represent the most prominent and verifiable statements from Vance’s pre-2021 pivot toward Trumpism. (GROK)
JD Vance was allowed into Mitch McConnell’s Senate. A very bad sign. We all know that Mitch never allowed real conservatives to win. He always launched smear campaigns and collaborated with the democrats to prevent it.
I do not like JD. He says he’s had a change of heart but once a GOP man always a GOP man. How could he have been so wrong about Trump? It shows an outstanding lack of judgement. Or was he just lying about Trump? Either way, it’s super troubling.
He’s not nearly as good a politician as he is billed to be. I do not like the way he struts around as the presumptive nominee. Democrats seem comfortable with the idea because they believe that he’ll be a return to traditional GOP. He’s wimpy and very boring. Once he gets from under Trump’s protective umbrella he will fail because he lacks Trump’s charisma and political acumen.
DITTOs.
It’s a very dangerous time for JD.
Yeah, she’s a proven quantity. She was targeted for destruction by the political establishment. JD was not.
J. D. Vance.
I think millions of us were won over in that moment.
VANCE/RUBIO
Looks like David McIntosh is still leading the open borders “conservative” Club For Growth.
One thing is for certain. We will be separating the sheep from the goats over the next three years.
The RINOs like CFG, US Chamber of Commerce, fierce Bolton-type neo-cons, etc. can form their own party or join the democrats.
This x1000
Vance/Trump 2028!
LOL The Hill LOL
Hmmm...
Let’s see: J.D. Vance or AOC?
OMG, what will we do???
It’s no nonsense.
Vance’s first political instinct was to play the Nazi/Hitler card on Trump.
Why?
I can’t say.
I can only speculate.
I would speculate because he saw Trump as threat to the establishment of the Republican wing of the uniparty which was the wing that he had allegiance to.
There is ONLY one party in America and Trump ain’t a member, at least a welcome one.
I don’t use the term RINO.
As it suggests there is a distinct Republican Party worth affiliating with.
There NEVER was, at least in my adult lifetime.
Reagan was hated by the Rockefeller Republicans like Cheney who Reagan exiled to Wyoming where he rebranded as a “conservative”.
The old guard tried to get rid of Reagan for one of their own but Hinckley missed and it is debatable who had the closer call Reagan or Trump.
I am proud to say that I have NEVER voted for a Democrat for a state or national office.
I am just as proud to say that I have NEVER been affiliated with the party that gave me no other choice than to vote for Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, and Romney.
I’m not ashamed to say I voted for them because the real shame would have been to vote the alternative.
Trump got BURNED badly by the GOPe establishment in his first term.
Trump came out this term and took real risks by nominating Gaetz, Hegseth, and Patel.
The GOPe has not gone anywhere, they are just in exile.
If Vance were elected, you will see that he will be favored by the likes of Rove and all the other GOPe hacks and he will take no risks in his appointments.
That’s a rant, but Trump provided another path and I’m not going back to the old guard without RESISTANCE.
Will MAGA voters show up in Nov 2025? Nov 2026?
That is the question. There is little point in speculating on 2028. Nov 2025 is on us. Who will vote?
Think the women’s vote. It was republican women who got Clinton elected in ‘92. He reminded them of their first husband, the one they fell head-over-heels with. Bush 41’ reminded them of their 2nd husband. He was stable in the home and at work-in other words boring. Women go for the flash. Al Gore/John Kerry were unlikable stiffs. Hillary? Let’s just say women hate each other. Obama-head over heels again.
Where does that put JD? JD looks like every woman’s husband-average. Let’s just hope that they start using their brains rather than their hearts when it comes to voting. The far left just might make them vote for stability and less crime. We’ll see.
The reason we ended up in WWII is because we looked so weak and uninvolved in the world that bad actors took advantage. The US needs to look like a monster at rest. Periodically, the monster has to wake up, kick an ass, and then continue to look dangerous.
We actually do need a large standing army - recruitment is way down in recent years - but what we need is a re-orientation. More combat troops, less useless diversity officer types, and reorient to US domestic operations, as our northern border is starting to be a real problem.
We already have the National Guard. So we don't really need a standing army.
Unless we want to maintain an empire? (We are sorta of doing that today)
We are not purists.
There are at least 4 GOP candidates and more likely 6 to run in 2028.
The DungHill knows the RATS have pretty much no viable candidate for ‘28
