America's ultra wealthy flock to new red state business hubs… as growth sputters in California and New York

America's super rich are swapping Silicon Valley for Utah's Silicon Slopes and Manhattan for Miami.

In the next five years, Republican states are set to see the largest influx of ultra high net worth individuals, according to a new report.

The analysis, from wealth intelligence firm Altrata, defines these people as those worth more than $30 million.

While the traditional wealth hubs of California and New York still lead in terms of the number of ultra wealthy Americans living there, they are lagging when it comes to growth.

Instead Florida is leading the way, with an estimated 8.8 percent yearly growth of super rich residents through 2030.

Utah is projected to see the second largest annual growth over the same period of 8.1 percent, while Texas is due to see a 7.9 percent yearly surge.

The ultra rich are throwing their money into these states as a result of attractive low-tax regimes, the rise in remote working, general lifestyle appeal and emerging technology and finance hubs in areas such as Miami, Austin and Salt Lake City.

Called it. Miami is going to inherit financial services for the US. Makes sense; no one wants to live and work in NYC when the voters want communism.

We're not going to need to recreate the Financial District in Lower Manhattan in Miami with all the technology we have right now.

But they'll move some offices to Miami.

A result of Trump bringing chip plants to US soil, they are building ginormous facilities. Housing prices within commute distance are going vertical.

Hope they’ve learned from experience and aren’t bringing their leftist culture and voting patterns with ‘em. Don’t have *much* hope of that, though.

Leftists are like locusts. Turn one place into a total s**thole, then move on to the next.

Just keep your NY and California Leftist politics and fundraising behind you. Your new states are better because they’re red, no inspire of it.

The top 4 economies in the world by GPD are:

1. USA
2. China
3. Germany
4. California

Absent California, the USA would be much lower on the list.

“Leftists are like locusts. Turn one place into a total s**thole, then move on to the next.”
Colorado is a glaring example. I lived in the Denver area from 79-81. It was a fantastic place to live back then. The entire state pretty much has devolved into a craphole.

Oh, I agree with you. Newsome benifits from the rise of the state economy, just as other elected leaders do.

Nonetheless, it’s always interesting to read the claims about California’s declining economy, etc.

I lived in Colorado for a number of years. It was clear that the decline in quality of life was directly related to the use of crack, then meth, combined with the oxy/opiate crisis provided by our drug companies.

“Super rich?” “Ultra-wealthy?”. Whatever happened to just rich and wealthy? I guess those people are just among the common folk these days.

The problem with such concentrations of wealth in so few individuals or families is that they create “Financial Services” aka hedge funds: entire industries that create nothing; no products, no actual services, nothing that anyone would be able to buy except the “Ultra-wealthy”, and that exist only to strip-mine value from any productive sector of the broader economy that still exists. In other words, an economy of Locusts.

This kind of thing has never ended well, anywhere. Meanwhile, Elon is still selling ‘tiny houses’; he says “Let them eat cake.”

They wont ,eave it behind. Its kindz like when europeans sere coming to america, znd the indians .earned thzt it was just so prevalent that it couldnt be stopped. Liberslism is spreading out like a czncer and engulfing red areas. Even my small town which used to be almost exclusively solid conservstive is turning blue little by little as people in the cities discoved it znd move here-

Like presidsnt Trump said, “everything liberals touch turns to crap”

Very true. When I was living there, we were being invaded by shitheads from California. They were leaving the mess they created there and moving NE to Colorado. If I remember correctly, Colorado was one of the first states to de criminalize drug use. After that, the rest of the crazies moved in.
