These are what we need, but we are only allowed to have worthless coins from the get-go these days.
The only Eisenhower dollars that were 40% silver were minted in San Francisco, like the ones in the Bicentennial proof set. Otherwise, they were all copper clads. Kennedy half-dollars from 65-709 were also minted in 40% silver.
