One member of NATO has again started buying Russian energy products:
"Tupras, Türkiye's largest oil refiner, has resumed purchases of Russian Urals crude oil, trading sources said, marking a shift from its earlier halt on imports following strengthened U.S. sanctions.As one watched headlines, the fact that Europe, NATO member Turkey and these United States ALL are buying Russian products is most interesting, and not covered in most of the noisy news.According to three trading sources speaking to Reuters and shipping data reviewed once again by Reuters, Tupras restarted imports in April after Urals crude prices dropped to their lowest levels since 2023—comfortably below the G7 nations' price cap of $60 per barrel.

If NATO member Turkey is doing as it is, then NATO by degree is not the homogeneous entity it has been said to be recently. Or, viewing the news detailed above, one could say a part of NATO is "violating EU sanctions" or US sanctions....

Russia, under Putin, was never going to satisfy political requirements to be part of NATO. Had Putin not taken over and true multiparty democracy opened up in Russia, things might have been different.
