And I’d be interested to know, what brand of coffee do YOU drink? I grind my own beans and cold brew my coffee. I buy what’s on sale at Costco. Usually Starbucks or Mayorgas.

“””” rebranding to “Maxwell Apartment.”””””
I see other FReepers are wondering if this story actually came from the Bee.

“”Yeah, I’m sure there are tons of coffee drinkers in apartments who will now switch to your brand because that offensive word “house” is gone.””
And just think how much more offensive it would be if they had that word “home” in there. The horror.
I sense a future name change to “Maxwell Cubicle”. Probably not that distant, either. Schwab already approves, no doubt.

I thought it would be because someobdy claimed the original Maxwell was a slave owner. :)
If there is any logic in the change "Maxwell Flat" would make more sense, adding a British flavor, keeping the cadence of the original name, and accurately describing the taste of the product.

Back in the 1970's Saturday Night Live did a skit about a guy who was hooked on coffee and couldn't stop drinking it. He went into rehab and they sent him to Maxwell House.

Gee, the way things are going, they might as well call it: “Maxwell Under-The-Bridge” and get it over with. :P
