Canada halts importation of some European cheese following lumpy skin disease outbreak

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has banned the importation of raw milk cheeses from France, Italy and Switzerland in an effort to prevent an outbreak of lumpy skin disease in cattle.

Thank you, but I am still trying to understand the transmission.

I suppose that farmers eat the European cheese and then contact with the cows spreads the disease. Your list makes that contact ominous.

The center of attention in the East Hall, Swartz Farms brings their cattle all the way from Berks County so everyone can smooch a cow.
This nonsense must stop.
