Many thanks to the irreplaceable Julie Kelly for reading Kamala Harris’s new memoir, 107 Days, and posting relevant sections. The section most relevant to Kelly and the folks at Revolver News, who helped break this story, deals with the legendary pipe bombs found on January 6, 2021, near the RNC headquarters in Washington and just outside the DNC HQ.
The bottom line: Harris still can’t get her story straight about her activities on January 6, and her lies have been costly for J6ers.
In the way of background, for nearly a year after January 6 prosecutors were telling J6 judges and juries that Harris “remained within the Capitol building” throughout the brouhaha on January 6. As a Secret Service protectee, any site Harris visited was considered “restricted.” The hundreds of defendants who violated this restricted space had their charges amplified.
As early as January 17, 2021, Harris had a chance to come clean. CBS Sunday Morning aired an interview with Harris that has been widely overlooked. Interviewing Harris was veteran newswoman Jane Pauley. As Pauley noted, the actual interview was done “during her visit last week”—in other words, within a week or so of January 6. The delayed broadcast also allowed for some critical editing.
The Kamala Harris that Pauley interviewed was much more relaxed than the one on the 2024 campaign trail. With Pauley, Harris largely spoke in clichés about events that, if not completely true, were not easily falsified. She even seemed relaxed in recounting the events of January 6. At the 2:35 mark of the tape, after showing a series of riot images, Pauley asked Harris, “January 6 was something seismic. Something seismic happened that day. May I ask, was the TV on? Did someone say, ‘Madam Vice President-Elect, you gotta see this, come.’ How did that unfold?”
Harris responded calmly on camera, “I was at the Capitol that morning, and then I was in a meeting, and I was told that I should leave.” As the memoir will show, this was a lie of omission and commission, one with consequence. At the 2:52 mark, the camera switched back to Pauley, and the viewer hears Harris say, “And then I was taken to a secure location….” At 2:57, the camera switched back to Harris and watched her conclude, “…with my husband. We watched in horror.”
The explanation that makes the most sense is that by the time of the Pauley interview the Biden camp knew or at least suspected that the alleged bomber played in some capacity on Team Biden. While the FBI did its thing, sincerely or otherwise, the Biden camp wanted as little attention paid to the bomber as possible, If the pipe bomber vanished into the night like Oklahoma City’s “John Doe #2,” all the better. The “insurrection” story did not need a subplot, especially one that would undermine the accepted narrative.
It was not until January 6, 2022, that Harris finally admitted she was not at the Capitol during the riot. Speaking in the Capitol Rotunda Harris began with the unholy comparison of January 6 to December 7, 1941 and September 11, 2001. By this time, however, prosecutors had discovered her absence from the Capitol during the riot and had begun to amend hundreds of filings against J6ers.
For all Harris’s histrionics on that first anniversary of January 6, she did not acknowledge her own near death experience at the DNC. Not until her memoir did she admit she was at the DNC that fateful day. President Joe Biden never admitted it, although, in his defense, he may have forgotten.
Given their ruthless politicization of January 6, it would have made sense for Harris and Biden to talk about the bomb, especially after the assassination attempts on President Trump. Harris was within twenty feet of an assassin’s bomb, she could have argued, and she too started down death.
The Harris memoir muddies the water even further. In her one reference to the bomb, she begins with a reminisce about Max, the head of her Secret Service detail. On January 6, Harris tells the reader that after protestors entered the Capitol, Max “hustled Mike Pence to safety.” For a year, recall, Harris left the impression that she, too, had been hustled to safety at the Capitol. Hundreds of J6ers were prosecuted based on that impression.
In 107 Days, Harris finally admits that she was at the DNC when the pipe bomb was discovered. In this version, however, the alleged “meeting” has disappeared. Writes Harris, “I’d gone to the DNC to make some political calls thanking supporters.” This sounds more like the truth. If so, Harris lied to Pauley about being “in a meeting,” likely both to sustain the impression she was at the Capitol and to draw attention away from the pipe bomb.
That deception resulted in a massive obstruction of justice, causing undue anxiety for hundreds of J6ers and considerable time and expense for prosecutors. Perhaps a subpoena will help jog Kamala’s memory and lead to the unraveling of this whole sordid mess.

I believe Jack Cashill is accurate when he says that J6 Defendants were charged on the false notion that Harris was in the Capitol during the J6 events. But, I doubt bigly that FBI/DoJ prosecutors relied upon Harris’s edited TV news interview to establish Harris’s timeline on J6 for use in federal charges and prosecutions.
So from WHERE did they get the false information? Logically, the “facts” would come from both 1) Secret Service records/agents/drivers/witnesses at the DNC, and 2) Harris’s direct statements to FBI agents. Did all those sources conspire to falsify her J6 whereabouts and lie to investigators (both are crimes)? Was interior and exterior surveillance video obtained from the DNC showing her there? Was that video altered or erased?

Though she could have resigned her Senate seat early, I found a roll call Senate vote on whether to sustain a challenge to the electors from Pennsylvania from early in the morning of January 7 (https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_votes/vote1171/vote_117_1_00002.htm?congress=117&session=1&vote=00002). Harris voted Nay....
