Looney Climate Change is Not Science
American Thinker ^ | 27 Sep, 2025 | Richard Blakley

Posted on 09/27/2025 4:31:30 AM PDT by MtnClimber

Climate alarmists are bad scientists, bad mathematicians, both, or fraudsters with an agenda.

President Trump’s U.N. speech covered a variety of topics, ranging from his peacemaking accomplishments in seven different wars, his prevention of bioweapons development, the U.N.’s support of illegal immigration, his efforts to stop drug trafficking, to exposing the most persecuted religion on the planet, which he said, is Christianity. The range of topics also included climate change.

After quoting many of the massively failed predictions of climate alarmists, President Trump stated,

It’s the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world, in my opinion. Climate change, no matter what happens, you’re involved in that. No more global warming, no more global cooling. All of these predictions made by the United Nations and many others, often for bad reasons, were wrong. … If you don’t get away from this green scam, your country is going to fail.

On the other hand, former president Joe Biden told the world a 1.5-degree earth temperature increase, is “the most existential threat to the planet,” even greater than nuclear war.

The first problem with Biden’s statement is that a 1.5-degree change in the earth’s temperature is impossible to measure.

How do you measure the average temperature of the earth? Do you measure at the North Pole, or the South Pole? How about the equator? Do you measure in the morning, at noon, or at night? Do you measure in spring, summer, fall, or winter?

It is the UN and globalists trying to gain control of the means of production through control of energy use. It would be a world-wide communist disaster.

I thought that there would be palm trees and alligators in Minnesota by now. Minnesota still gets cold but the U.N. imported a bunch of sand Africans there.

We should all be glad we live in the Modern Warm Period, when crop yields are higher, rain patterns are easier to predict, and there are less deaths by plague.

Only a fool would rather live in one of the centuries long cooling periods (like the Little Ice Age that lasted from roughly AD 1300 to the mid 1800s, or the Dark Age from AD 300 to 900) than in one of the centuries long warming periods (like the Modern Warm Period we've been in since the LIA, or the Medieval Warm Period that went from roughly AD 900 to 1300). The Dims are a textbook example of a doomsday cult.

If the communists take over the means of energy production, nothing will improve.
There is plenty of historical evidence that everything will get worse, much worse, if that were to happen..

I’ve often wondered who decided that the Earth is at the ideal temperature now, and so we should keep it from changing.

A fundamental question, I think.

After you get an answer to the proper temperature we should strive for, start working on discovering what "their fair share" is.

Very small increases in global temperature result in enormous gains in agriculture and huge reductions in energy consumption. More productivity, less starving persons on the Planet.

But, all good things must come to an end, as they will some day when the Sun has a little dip in flare ups or other anomaly and we return to a cooling trend for another couple million years.

Enjoy it while you can.

Fortunately the reversal won’t be in our lifetimes.

What a great article. I am always skeptical when I see terms like “experts say” or “latest research proves”. I have first learned to wonder who paid for the study and how do they profit.

Turn a blank sheet of paper sideways. On the left write “weather event” in small letters, draw a circle around the words, and then draw a small arrow pointing to the right side. On the far right, write the words "manmade climate change” in small letters, draw a circle around the words, and then draw a small arrow pointing to the circle.

Is there not a large blank space in the middle? Have you ever seen a story which fills in this area? Have you ever read a story that uses words like sun and ocean, which are the two enormous engines determining temperature? Cannot the stories that you have seen be inserted into one or the other circles? Consider the research of Michael Mann, et al, now enshrined to this day that is “highly suggestive of man-made global warming”.

I will submit there is no evidence of man-made global warming because no adherent to the popular mythology will acknowledge the existence of the sun and oceans. All I have ever seen are fraudulent to accurate comments on weather events or physical phenomenon involving temperature followed by an assertion man-made global warming is the cause.

In the hard sciences of Math and Physics, the earth’s climate is known as an open system, meaning all influencers are probabilistic and not deterministic. Any assertions must be less than certain, but we are always treated to infallibility statements like those for the boiling point of water. Popular reasoning requires a complete disconnect between events and conclusions and is no more rigorous than Middle Age alchemy.

I have yet to find any article which attempts to measure the influence of the sun and ocean and then ascribe an increment to human activity. It was only since the late 70’s that it was possible to attempt to confirm changes in the sun’s radiance independent of the earth. Without a rigorous solution involving those two enormous engines, models created peer approved factors provide outcomes no more elegant than what is left behind when a brand new puppy is turned loose in a house decorated with white carpets and white furniture.

Anyone who earnestly spouts this nonsense is just political buffoons. The others are shameless charlatans.

One of the best refutations of a man-caused “climate catastrophe” I’ve heard is that if you want to see what the Earth would be like with a certain temperature rise, just go south of where you are now. If you want to see what the currently-predicted 1.5 degree change would be like, you only have to drive about 150 miles south of where you are. Two degrees, about 200 miles. And if you are self-destructive and want to throw yourself into the incinerator that would be a 3 degree rise, just drive 300 miles south.

That’s why, for example, going 300 miles south of the agricultural and often snowy area of central South Dakota takes you to central Kansas, where everyone knows the 3 degree higher temperatures have created a lifeless desert, devoid of plants of any kind and where snow is no longer known. Only cockroaches live there now.

So the next time some liberal friend or relative pops off about “climate change” just invite them to drive 300 miles south and report back.

Does anyone know anyone who has a clue what CO2 is, how vital it is on the planet, and how much is in the air that plants breath? Nope. The Stupid Party doesn’t, and if they did, they wouldn’t share their secret with the rest of the intellectually unwashed in America.
