America seems more scary and violent than ever these days. The news is filled with weirdness.
Ice Cube is on tour and rolled into Portland, Oregon, and parked at the corner of SW Oak and Broadway was Cube performed Monday night (September 22) at the Moda Center. It appears that someone firebombed the bus. There was extensive damage, but no one was injured.
Did someone get confused about the “ice” in “Ice Cube?” Was the bus confused with an ICE detention bus? Who knows?

The arsonist struck on Monday night but stories are just trickling out now. Some outlets even used the term "caught fire". Very few show photos because it looks like someone tried to throw a firebomb through the window of the door.

Many black folks continue to near worship the late Rosa Parks, as though she was some kind of revolutionary Civil Rights figure. Her fame was ‘bestowed’ upon her by the public. Sort of like Bob Dylan’s fame was ‘bestowed’ upon him. Both were in the right place at the right time.
