Not our monkeys, not our circus.
So says the Kremlin as it plots occupation of Moldova.
The allegations by the Kremlin are to make an advanced excuse for its own planned actions.
Possible-
If Odessa falls, it would be a disaster for Ukraine, land-locking the place. It’s also a major port and economic center for Ukraine.
The Russians have several objectives regards Ukraine: 1) block NATO admission 2) seize Russian ethnic areas 3) make it a punitive campaign where Ukraine understands there’s a cost in doing what they did.
IMHO: I expected Odessa to fall earlier but I think the Russians are casualty adverse. They are playing a game for a long haul and not just bum rushing things like in the early stages of this conflict.
Dear FRiends, Our FReepathon is our next concern. We still need to raise approximately $13k before the end of the month to meet our goal! And I think we’re gonna need a little prayer here. Thank you very much and God bless you.

It would be nice if Moldova and the EU would let the Moldovan diaspora in Russia vote in the “election”. But of course, only the Moldovan diaspora in the EU gets to vote.
"You can contribute any combination of monthly and/or one-time contributions to reach this goal."
Come on Vlad. You know how bad the Russian military is. Now imagine European militaries being 10 times worse. They wouldn’t stand a chance against the paper bear.
What is Transnistria?
Transnistria, Latin for “beyond the Dniester River,” has a population size of around 400,000 and has been controlled by pro-Russian separatists since 1992, though it remains part of Moldova.
Some 1,500 Russian “peacekeeping” troops are still stationed there, as well as a major Russian weapons storage facility, the Cobasna ammunition depot.
Many Transnistrians hold more than one passport, with an estimated 350,000 having Moldovan citizenship, according to Chișinău; more than 200,000 have Russian citizenship, according to Moscow; 100,000 have Ukrainian citizenship.
I’ve long thought that Moldova should recognize the Dniester River as its border with Ukraine and cede to Ukraine the East side of the river. Moldova could then apply for NATO membership, and Ukraine could deal with the Russian speakers in Transnistria.
