Time and again we see “new improved” drugs that end up being worse than the old favorite.

My wife gets powdered aspirin that’s very pure. Works like a champ. No more ibuprofen for us. I can’t stand acetaminophen. It doesn’t work, and makes me feel strange. I haven’t used it in decades.

i can’t take advil anymore since it’s bad for my kidneys and even after my kidney transplant, i’m forbidden from taking that.

tylenol is very bad for liver, but thanks to my new liver transplant, that’s my go to now.

aspirin is weaker but still works for me.

We’re all going to die!!

Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also referred to by some as Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid. Its basis is the highly reactive hydroxyl radical, a species shown to mutate DNA, denature proteins, disrupt cell membranes, and chemically alter critical neurotransmitters. The atomic components of DHMO are found in a number of caustic, explosive and poisonous compounds such as Sulfuric Acid, Nitroglycerine and Ethyl Alcohol.

They’ve been saying for decades how dangerous acetaminophen is. Big Pharma makes money off it however, so all the paid-off politicians won’t do a thing to restrict its use. If I have a headache, I take aspirin.

I’ve always been wary of Tylenol.

I hate the way they sneak it into everything.

The dehydrated kind is probably safest. (You can buy it on Amazon.)

I broke my shoulder and elbow, very painful. My wife started me on Ibuprofin, a couple a day. Within a week I stated having wicked bouts of Diarrhea and bloody bowl movements. I did not make the connection right away I thought It was something else. I was getting very weak and could not be far from a toilet. I looked online and saw Ibuprofin can cause internal bleeding . I stopped taking it and within a week the bleeding stopped. In the past 3 years I have not had it happen again.

Many years ago I took something for a headache in the early afternoon - I can’t recall if it was Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen. Then I went out in the evening and drank. I’ve never been so sick as I became that night, and had what seemed like gall bladder problems for a couple of weeks after. Never had any similar problem before or since.

Since then, I’ve never taken anything but aspirin for pain.

From Wiki:

Ingredients
Originally produced at the Hepolscheiemer Clinic in Graz, Austria, it contains 845 mg of aspirin and 65 mg of caffeine. BC readily promotes the fact that, due to its powder form, it dissolves faster than pain-relief tablets, and thus gets to work faster. It can be taken in a variety of ways, most commonly mixed into water or soda.

In 2009 BC Powder removed the 195 mg of Salicylamide from the “Blue Box Original Formula BC Powder”. The original formula consisted of 650 mg aspirin, 195 mg salicylamide and 33.3 mg caffeine. The New packaging states “New Formula” and “Same Fast Relief!” on the front of the box. The new formula has 845 mg aspirin and 65 mg caffeine.

Oh, that stuff? I take it every day! I can’t live without it! I put it in just about everything! Mmm, mmm!

My habit will catch up to me eventually, though. :-[

I take Tylenol primarily for migraine [with aura].

I asked my MD if a single capsule would suffice, and she said it would.

How about reactions with common antibiotics, such as amoxycillin? (Required for life by my orthopedic surgeon prior to every dentist visit).
