There have been many complaints about the new iOS 26 upgrade from Apple. And right away there were instructions and videos on how to downgrade back to the previous version. Not an option any more.

I upgraded my iPhone 12 and noticed apps were slower and were lagging. I also hated - like most users - the liquid glass feature. There's no way to turn that off, but you can reduce the transparency.

But - good news. I'm reading where Apple is furiously working on correcting the problems of iOS 26 and may be rolling out a new update this week.

Glad I sat this one out. Wasn’t impressed with the new features and didn’t have the 14 gb of space needed anyway. “Hard work pays off later. Procrastination pays off now.”

Apple should have been furiously working on releasing a fully developed, user-friendly product in the first place.

Another FU from the rotten apple. Take it or else.... Well I recommend that you throw that rotten apple out and never buy the worm engorged fruit again.

Strange, just last week I was prompted to update to OS 18.7 which I did. Why would Apple jump from 18.7 to 26, never seen them move a number up so high before.

A guy I know is a car salesman at a major dealership. He once told me to never buy the first year of a new car design.

I suppose that goes for the first version of a new iOS, too.

I have not seen anything about an iOS 26, and not even an 18.7. I am running 18.6.2, have seen no prompts.

Good news would be letting people keep going back to a system that works instead of making them wait for a fix to their “upgrade”.

“iPhone 12”

I used a 12 for about five years. Last April, we switched from T-Mobile (which was unusable in our Silicon Valley town!) to Verizon and got MUCH better performance. I upgraded to a 16 Pro Max from the 12 when we switched carriers.

It’s an expensive leap, but worth it.

I have an old Mac that can’t handle the most recent versions of the OS. I was able to use OpenCore Legacy Patcher (OCLP) to run the most recent versions (this is officially unsupported by Apple). They can’t support Tahoe yet, I am still on Sequoia 15.7

This was a recent acquisition so I don’t have a lot of MacOS experience but so far it has worked pretty well.

Question for iPhone users.
Does anyone know of a specific app for the iPhone that I can use other than the one that comes with the iPhone for collecting email?
I use CenturyLink for my email, and they did an upgrade a few months ago. Ever since then, I can’t see any of my emails through my iPhone email app.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

26.0.1 just downloaded. I’ll see if the new update fixed 26’s battery issue when I go to work in a couple of hours.

BUMP!
